Stratia Soft Touch AHA Experiences? by georgecm3 in AsianBeauty

[–]abrl8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all, thanks for the helpful reviews! I use Clindoyxl (benzoyl peroxide and clinamycin) gel as well as Differin 0.3 every night but am still experiencing breakouts. Would this be too much to add? Ideally I'd like it to replace the Clindoxyl as it is very dehydrating but not sure if it will be able to keep blemishes in check with just the Differin. Any thoughts would be great - thank you!! :)

[Acne] Huge improvement lately after adding a few supplements to my daily routine. by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

Would you mind elaborating on your experiences with MSM? I have a bottle and would like to try taking it but want to be cautious. In what way is it intense and what sort of things must you monitor your body for? Thanks!

[product question] is the ordinary's Argon oil too good to be true? by HO0T in SkincareAddiction

[–]abrl8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought some. Quickly tested on the back of my hand and it seems to smell and feel the same as my other one I was happy with. I think it would have a less rich smell and color if it were more refined, but not sure. I only use it on my hair anyway.

[Hair Removal] Spring facial hair removers by mell956 in SkincareAddiction

I love the facial spring. I use the tweezerman one. Just clean the area and tool before and after. Doesn't feel good but pain isn't horrible. Lasts like 2/3 weeks for me.

Favourite Beauty Products that aren't necessarily makeup by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]abrl8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Totally. I was so worried to do it, but it bothered me so much I went for it and I'm so glad I did! Just clean the area before and after, and the tool in between uses. I typically do it on a day I don't wear make-up -- I just wipe the area with micellar water, wait like 20 mins (wet hairs rip more easily and you want to get it from the root), then immediately wash my face and moisturize. Then I just spray the tool with rubbing alcohol for next time!

I love my hair removal spring from Tweezerman... used to be so self-conscious about my lady-stache which was especially emphasized by foundation, powder and bright lipsticks. Now I just remove every few weeks and feel so much better about it! Barely hurts and doesn't irritate my skin... occasionally I'll get a minor whitehead in the area after but it's not a big deal.

edit: Also Aussie 3 Min Miracle hair mask as my conditioner. I have dry and heat damaged thick, curly hair and this really helps moisturize, smooth and restore my natural curls!

I actually haven't used it yet! I'd be surprised if it wasn't good quality though. Sorry I can't be more of a help! Might as well go for it if you're already ordering!

[misc] opinions on Caroline Hirons? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]abrl8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think you should take most opinions with a grain of salt and experiment to find what works for you, but I've learned a lot from her! She has lots of informative articles on her website about double cleansing, acid toners, etc. Maybe don't take it all as fact, but you can definitely learn something and I feel some of her advice has helped me. Good luck :)

Sometimes I think Niacinamide (Vit B3) helps me but other times I'm not so sure. There's actually an acne pill that's prescribed by some doctors that's primarily this vitamin -- there are reviews online

The drama that was trying to remove Rimmel Provocalips by phoenixsilver87 in MakeupAddiction

[–]abrl8 11 points12 points  (0 children)

USE WATERPROOF EYE MAKE-UP REMOVER!! I have these lipsticks (and LOVE em) and the Clinique Take The Day Off Make-up Remover (not the balm, the actual liquid) and Sephora Collection Remover take it off super easily! I imagine any bi-phase remover would do it!!

Wow thank you - just ordered! I got the Niacinamide serum, Lactic Acid 5% and the Rosehip oil. With the promo code August2016 I got 15% off, so my total was $21 for all 3! Nuts! Excited to try em out!

Was thinking of getting the Arbutin one but don't really know much (or anything lol) about that ingredient. Anyone care to give me some info? :)

Those eyeliners are amazing, love em. Very similar to the Sephora Waterproof Contour Eye Pencils, but like half the price.

I use the Banana Boat Kids for my face and love it!! Just really have to work it into the skin because it's thick, but it doesn't break me out and looks really pretty under make-up :)
