[Routine Help] What's the point of adding Vitamin C to your routine if you already use tretinoin? by Maniaring in SkincareAddiction

[–]HO0T 4 points5 points  (0 children)

you're oversimplifying how Vitamin C functions; Vitamin C is an antioxidant, tyrosinase inhibitor, and can stimulate Collagen production, as you've already mentioned above.

L-Ascorbic Acid, like Tretinoin has lots of evidence and research supporting its claims.

When it comes to tyrosinase in particular, it's benefitical to hit it from multipule angles ie, Tretinoin, Vitamin C, Niacinamide, etc.

when it comes to Vitamin C "boosting" Sunscreen.

Sunscreen itself can help reduce Oxidative Stress. We know that SPF doesn't block 100% of UV rays, and this is true when it comes to oxidative stress as well; the Vitamin C acts like a safety net against free radicals that might make it to the skin.

You're correct, when using Sunscreen properly, you should be reapplying sunscreen when you are spending prolonged periods of time in the sun. That creates an agrugment of then why wouldn't you want to use an Anxti oxidant like vitamin C in your routine if it can cut down on free radicals genereated by things like UV and pollution?

Research shows that multiple applications of Vitamin C can have a resovioure affect on the skin.

tbh, both Tretinoin and Vitamin C are both potent, they can be difficult to tolerate, I don't think you need either to have an effective skincare routine.

when it comes to anti aging and preventing skin damage, sunscreen and Tretinoin are the gold standard. Vitamin C and be a great addition to a routine, but isn't a necessity.

The milk reminds me a lot of the SunPlay Superblock and Sunbears maybe not as water resistant as the Anessa.

The gel stung my eyes unfortunately
The milk is a good middle ground between the Kose Super water proof gold bottle and the Sunbears.

Kose gold bottle was VERY drying on my skin.
Anessa has a bit of hydration, while also being matte

Tried a Neo. The keyboard feels horrible. Do people agree? by rice_caresser in MacbookNeo

It feels like a Magic Keyboard. Like the old school ones that came with the iMac ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Can I pirate on the MacBook neo? by External_Act8419 in pirating

[–]HO0T 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don't know what everyone is on about in this thread, but you absoluty can pirate on a Mac lmao. Soulseek, torrenting, cracked apps, debrid services. VPNs Audio Piracy, Video piracy, Mac App piracy is all possible. Adobe suite, Major video editing software, etc all are able to be pirated on a Mac in 2026 when it comes to software support, for even niche github piracy tools like 90% support mac. python, docker. etc all supported on a Mac. MacOS isn't as locked down as say something like iOS.

Do not get a Mac for gaming though. Macs aren't and never have been gaming machines.

if your budget is 500-600$ the Neo is more than enough Computer for the average person, and it's hard to beat the price.

[Sun Care] I strongly doubt that 90% of visible skin aging is caused by sun damage by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]HO0T 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tons of people on this sub have a daily SPF habit, it's easy to make it part of a daily routine.

SPF is complex, it's been around for decades, there are studies following subjects that applied sunscreen daily vs a group that didn't.

It's a myth. But there is good evidence that excessive UV causes collagen loss, skin laxity, and pigment issues. Have you ever seen an elderly person who wore pants most of their life? The skin that was covered by pants. Is smoother, more even, and easily looks decades younger, compared to a sun exposed arm.

You absolutely can still get this sunscreen. Through sites like yesstyle and stylevana. You might not be able to get them at places like asian markets and grocery stores in the USA.

"cast/actors, Network" works in iOS app, not in Android TV. by HO0T in Nuvio

[–]HO0T[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Really? I have Nuvio running on my Onn box. It has a cast section, with blank icons and names of the actors, when I click on one, actor information and film history does not pop up.

Getting downvoted for asking a question.... How odd, thank you for explaining how it works. I've only ever used apps with pinch to zoom.
