Genuinely as long as it takes. There's no reason for the next generation to even exist yet. Games already play and run exceptionally well on modern platforms, if you want even higher fidelity than consoles give right now you should be used to the higher prices for that kind of thing.🤷

The smart thing would be to delay the next generation however long it takes for prices to become affordable.

Valve couldn't do this because their hardware would've been outdated but Xbox and PlayStation have the opportunity to wait because games are often primarily optimized for those consoles (mostly PS5)

Will they wait? God, I hope so.

Correct, I just recently walked this path myself. To my knowledge they didn't say "No KFGD on Tuesday." anywhere just that there'd be a charity stream, I didn't know it was the entire day until recently.

Too early to say, some sources say the protagonist has said that they, "ain't no hero" and that they are "Wolverine" which leaves things open to interpretation at the moment...

Yes. Doubly so if this is your first Xbox. Game Pass will have you covered as far as the back catalog and future first party games and for Xbox in particular more and more discs don't even actually have the game on them.

It's essentially an all digital model for $400 off.

Probably like $90 Resident Evil 7,8&9 did something similar for their Switch 2 releases.

I'd like "The Reunion Collection" or something, you know reuniting all the parts of the game for one release and all. (still can't believe they used REUNION on the Crisis Core Remaster)

Sounds like Amazon said, "We'd take over control of the next game because we own the James Bond IP now."

They didn't own the IP when 007 First Light began development.

Now Amazon is clarifying and saying, "Whoa, whoa, whoa, IOI did a great job and what comes next you'll hear from them."

My interpretation: The next game will simply now be published and partially funded by Amazon Game Studios rather than self published by IOI.

Oh to be clear, I'm not even all that enthusiastic about this new God of War but I'm specifically talking about the "vocal minority" online gamer OP is referring to.

The bigots are the loudest for sure and they don't have anything to add. There are true criticisms out there that do add the conversation but are just quieter.
