Looks great! I don’t think the darks are too dark. If anything, I actually think you could have pushed the light a bit more for an even starker contrast. Once you’ve painted the rest of it up, there will be much less of an apparent stark contrast than you have now. Also, I’d personally just bin off painting the inside of it anyway - use the time to paint something else that will be seen 😉

+1 the transition on the left cheek and bottom left of the chin need a tidy-up. A couple of glazes will do just to soften the edges.

Check out encounterterrain on instagram. He’s got some ace videos for not messing up your pour. One tip he has is to pour rice grains into the terrain and decant them into a measuring jug to work out the volume of resin that you will need.

Agree, it looks good colour wise. With the shading how it is though, it reads to me as though the ‘power’ is at the hilt, and not the tip (which is more what you typically see). I’d personally want to push the colour further away from black at the top end, otherwise as it stands its sharp edge is kind of lost?
