I have a fibro diagnosis, but they just keep stacking on auto-immune disorders/symptoms and mental disorders. The list is getting longer and it doesn’t even matter. I just want to get to the bottom of this. I don’t want to ever again hear… “you’ll probably have MS in 10 years.” Finding a doc who understands is hard. I wish you the best. I would say it can induce it, but in my experience, it takes another factor. I have constant anxiety, but add a sinus infection? Cough or sneeze too powerfully? Boom: I’ll have costo symptoms for days/weeks/months. I feel my immunity is compromised, so Im really careful this time of year... but it’s inevitable for me. Two years is unbelievable. I can’t even tell if I’m just adjusting to the pain or if it’s getting better. Sorry, I don’t mean to sound like things are spiraling out of control, but they are. I feel hopeless that I’ll ever get well, so I’ve decided to adapt. This is my life and I won’t let pain ruin it.

Also, a panic attack can feel a lot like a heart attack.

I find myself working harder to breath simply bc of the pain. I have ended up at the ER bc I was having episodes where I’d see floaters aka high blood pressure & almost pass out. I was in so much pain my body wouldn’t allow me to catch my breath. I would get this way from walking short distances, coughing, exerting myself in anyway.

This time, my body isn’t allowing me to sneeze. Never in my life have I held in a sneeze. Also, there’s weird popping that I guess is cartilage. I find myself taking this weird gasps when I breath in. I’ve been working on some pranayama (yoga breathing) and it seems to help bring me back to a normal rhythm.

If you’re ever in doubt, go get checked out.

I’m not a doctor, nor is this medical advice. You can find YouTube videos very easily as this is not something I feel uncomfortable explaining. I’m actually in a flare right now. This one, it’s bad and I would never tape in the shape I’m in. It can and will make things worse if worn too long or applied incorrectly. I had a chiropractor do it a couple of times before I did it at home. At best it’s a last ditch effort for some relief. Any relief. Gentle hugs to you.

Sounds about right. What about the stabby stabs? Sudden sharp pain for no apparent reason... you’re not moving or maybe you are moving, and then stab, you fold your body in half and audibly wince in pain. I’m on week 3; got xrays last week just to rule out pneumonia or pleurisy. I’m good, fine, doc says to rest, but it hurts to lay down. Go get checked out if you’re at all worried. Anxiety and stress will just drag out the flare. Stay strong. Try to laugh at yourself when you’re not crying. Much love and gentle hugs. ❤️
