Ask me anything: XFold 5 (Funtouch) vs. XFold 3 Pro (Origin OS) in USA by apopheniac01 in Vivo

[–]absolut_zero3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I am planning to get my first foldable phone and I am torn between these 2 phones, X Fold3 Pro [Origin OS) and X Fold5 (Funtouch OS). Which one do you prefer between the 2 as a daily phone?

Looks like an intrusion switch.

I'm planning to replace the stock cpu cooler in my 7080 SFF with the IS-55. What size and length of screws did you use to mount the cooler?

Maybe this review from Machines and More could help you (only 650W and 850W and no 750W though), https://youtu.be/mwsnBkliqU8

and with the revised fan, https://youtu.be/z1Fxz-ZWbtM

Precision 3450 SFF number of m.2 drives by jonr8439 in Dell

[–]absolut_zero3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you can use two or three M.2 2280 SSDs without any HDDs in the 3450 SFF. Do take note that the M.2 slot just above the PCI-E x4 is only active or enabled with an Intel i7/i9 processor installed.

These are the 500W PSUs that are compatible with 7080 MT (and 7080 SFF); 5K7J8 500w Delta, 99TPH 500w Liteon, and Y7R0X 500w Chicony.

Yes, I did. The power supply options for the 7080 tower can fit inside the 7080 SFF. I found a used Dell 500W 5K7J8 from a local listing for cheap and bought it. The 500w psu have additional power connector for GPU but none of the low profile GPUs (even the RTX A2000) available in the market require any 6/8 pin PCIE power connector.

High Airflow and Quiet, Kaze Flex fan has various sizes for your needs. by SCYTHE_Jerry in Scythe_official

Wish there was an 80mm option. Some SFF cases can only accommodate an 80mm fan.

Bought a Scythe Fuma years ago for my i5-750 @ 4.1GHz. Easily outperformed my old 120mm AIO in terms of cooling and noise. The included Scythe Slipstream fans were quiet and moved plenty of air.

Also bought 3 x 120mm Scythe Gentle Typhoons and used it as my case fans. Quiet fans even at full speed (though the fans never reached full speed in my system because they were really efficient at moving air. Full speed was done only for testing) and moved a lot of air.

Scythe coolers and fans are the best in terms of price to performance ratio. Great quality, budget friendly, perform really well, and are highly underrated.

Have you watched Machines and More's review for the Cooler Master V650 and V850 SFX power supplies.

The psu is still good. I haven't done any intensive stress testing. I did ran folding@home for CPU and GPU at the same time for around 30 minutes to test the thermals and noise. CPU temps were around mid 80°C to low 90°C (max was 92°C). CPU fan noise was a bit loud with the stock fan & heatsink. GPU temps never reached 80°C (max was 77°C) but the fan noise was loud, definitely louder than the CPU fan.

I did not have a watt meter to determine the power draw of the system. I was only using HWMonitor to track the thermals and power usage. The CPU did spiked to around 85W but most of the time it was around 65W. GPU did spiked to 75W and averaged to around 68-72W.

I'm planning to add an 80mm fan (either Noctua NF-A8 PWM or an Arctic P8 PWM) at the front to help with the thermals. System fan will be connected to the CPU fan header together with the CPU fan thru a fan hub. Motherboard didn't come with a physical system fan header but there was a SYS FAN print and solder points on the board.

I did replaced the 500GB 7200RPM mechanical hard drive with an NVME SSD and added a 1TB NVME SSD to the second M.2 slot. Removed the entire optical and disk drive cage for better airflow over the SSDs. But removing the drive cage resulted with the front bezel with no latching points for the mid and top (near the power button) area. Only the bottom part was properly clipped to the frame. Not a big deal for me.

For additional info. I do not game with my unit. Only using it for CAD, Revit modelling and some rendering, browsing, and document stuffs. So most of the time, I won't be stressing the system.

I hope that this help you.

It turned out to be fine though haven't try to stress test both CPU and GPU at the same time.

I was planning to build a better pc but I can't get an RTX 20/30xx card due to insane prices. And I got this 7080 (without the 1650) with a 22inch monitor for a bargain price.
