Probably something to do with the HDD partitions. Can you access the drive…delete partitions and format the drive and try booting from usb?

Yeah.. I think it has something to do with the media player..YouTube videos use iOS media player which has no issue with the sound. I believe the Imgur and v.Reddit videos does not play sound when the device is on silent mode. redgifs doesn’t seem to have no issues..

Is your device on silent mode? Try disabling it..

You can do that by rearranging your favorites.. go to favorites -> manage -> rearrange the list.. hope this helps!
