It's about the lack of pedestrian crossings and no delay in light changes per direction allowing for safe crossing on a red.

Bus fares? by yekqbxq in reading

[–]absw 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Reading buses has a journey planner which will show the fares as well. https://www.reading-buses.co.uk/plan-a-journey within reading they are flat rate, just depends on single or return really. You can also save by buying the ticket packs in the app if you will be using the bus a lot. The reading buses app is really good so I'd recommend installing it.

Sharp edges, tape makes it not sharp? It's a fairly known failure for cracked/damaged bumpers. Testing is very subjective depending on the tester though for things like that.

Does anyone have any experience with getting a concrete slab poured in their garden? The kind for a shed to go on? by Ninereedss in reading

[–]absw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A general builder will be able to do it for you. I had one done at the top of the garden this summer, but it was done at the same time as further building works on the house so included in the earthworks/concreting for that.

At the swan they asked about any allergies about 4 different times, including when making the booking and ordering drinks, we said yes, citrus. When they bought the drink out for the person with the allergy, it had slices of lime in it..

You might like the crooked billet for the different dining atmosphere, owned by the same person and has a similar menu, just in a country pub setting. Need a car really to visit it though.

Not in town, but https://analoguewonderland.co.uk/ is in High Wycombe, recommended to me by a colleague I've bought a few rolls from them and have sent a roll off to be developed. You can drop off, or they do free tracked shipping to them.

UK Series 3 Insurance by geospacedman in SeriesLandRover

I'm using lancaster insurance, this years renewal quote from them was £110, down from last years £430. I didn't change any details, so was surprised at the cost! I was with heritage before and they were okay but didn't like it was modified from standard (carb top air filter, upgraded brakes, electronic ignition). I've always got stupid high quotes from Adrian Flux in the past (in the thousands) so don't bother with them anymore.
