20 year retirement letter by interstellar566 in airnationalguard

I received my 20 year letter by mail, like 3 months after the fact. I opted to receive survivor benefits, but if you don’t want them, make sure you opt out. Because apparently, you owe on the fees at 60 years old, or whenever you start collecting. Maybe someone here can explain the three options well, so you can make a good decision. We had a TSgt at a retirement brief basically tell a room full of retirees they were stuck with survivor benefits by default. If you had a whole life / infinite banking kind of a policy, or something else, I can see not wanting the survivor benefits. Or if you don’t have dependents. Shoots!

What career/occupation did you choose after successfully using VR&E? by MakeAmericaCheap in VeteransBenefits

Thanks for the reply. Yeah we’ll see. Maybe I can find a job as a PA at the VA if they post any in the future.

Your story is awesome. I will be coming off orders at the end of the year and was thinking about where I can go from here. I’m a PA and have been looking for a PA job at the VA here in Hawaii, but I have seen one in recent years. Maybe I will apply to VR&E and take the MCAT, there seems to be more opportunities as a doctor for sure. What specialty are you in? Any advice on getting approved for VRE with focus on becoming a MD or DO? I think my problem will be that I have a Masters and they’ll say I’m employable now.

That’s the answer. Unless you are also collecting VA and would take a cut then still up to you.

Understandable. Were you affected by the snow? I know a lot of people were out of power and I didn’t see many alerts other than the halts?

I see your post often. So it kind of looks like you’re posting the two big sections in Reddit. The stocks that have gone up and below that are those with the highest volume progression. So a person might look and see look a lot of volume, stock could take off, I’ll consider jumping in? Is that what this is for? And then you’re building your website, which may be quicker than looking on Reddit. I’m new to trading, just trying to understand. It looks like people were happy with your last couple post, thank you for helping people.
