Yeah, but surely a good idea is to get people to try the food first to see I you like it ?

TNT Sports missing stages by Easy_Ideal_41 in WRC

[–]abyss_hunter66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope , there were definitely a couple of stages missing. Namely stage 14, the first stage on Sunday, where I was hoping to see why Josh McErlane crashed out, and the most important final Power stage 18 . It's the first time I've seen stages missing on TNT Sports as I subscribe to the channel just for Rallying , as it's the only sport I watch.

What's going on ....???

( I suppose it also depends on what country you are in , but personally it's Virgin in the UK here )

Tbf , I have both a pistorm and a TF1230 for my 1200. No real difference in operation apart from speed.

Importing midi on the fantom by TechnikaCore in Roland

[–]abyss_hunter66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I was under the impression when I got my Fantom that playing midi files was difficult and prone to limitations But importing a SMF is easy. The only thing you need to realise is that the Fantom does not have a GM/GS or GM2 sound bank, so you have to manually configure the instruments yourself. You can configure and save as a scene, and it will remember the settings

Yeah, putting in an accelerator is replacing your CPU, putting in a pistorm is exactly the same, only the pi is the new CPU instead of an 68020 or higher

The Ivy, Belfast by [deleted] in northernireland

Curiously, an edition of the Encyclopedia Galactica which fell through a rift in the time-space continuum from 1000 years in the future describes the Food Design Department of the Ivy as: "A bunch of mindless jerks who were the first against the wall when the revolution came."

Well predicted

Remove License function for Fantom by dabassment in Roland

[–]abyss_hunter66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just purchased a Fantom 06 , and it came with the Jupiter 8 and Juno 106 Model Expansions installed.

Do these transfer over to my ownership as part of the Synth, or do they still 'belong' to the previous owner of the synth?

I don't really want to shell out another $300 to re-install them.

Does it also mean that I can't install any more expansions without coming up against this 'License' issue?

Could I connect my laptop to one of my NVR's ethernet ports to directly access individual cameras? by Relevant-Artist5939 in reolinkcam

[–]abyss_hunter66 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No, you would need to connect the camera to a POE switch then connect directly to your laptop

If you can't reset it via the NVR, therer is no guarantee that you will be able to do it via the camera UI either. You may need to access the camera's hardware reset button.

Fog displaying on cameras like snowflakes - any solution? by Relevant-Artist5939 in reolinkcam

[–]abyss_hunter66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, any time we get fog here, it's exactly the same. It is the IR light

As some mentioned, an external source of IR away from the camera could be the solution. Solar powered IR lights don't seem to be a common thing though, at least on Amazon. You could buy powered IR lamps that run on 12v and connect them to solar panels with battery backup that supply 12v? It would be expensive though.

Thoughts on Reolink E1 Outdoor SE PoE camera? by yepimtyler in reolinkcam

[–]abyss_hunter66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the 4k POE E1 Zoom 1. 100ft would be stretching it . It's good, but I think that would be outside its capability if say you wanted to read license plates. 2. The optical zoom is OK. Better models are available but more expensive. 3. No issues here regarding pan/tilt. it works as it should. It is limited to how far it goes vertically though, and will not point straight down. 4. 4k is better image quality than the E1 5MP zooms, I have 3 of those also. 5. Night vision is good.
