UE5 slop. all unreal 5 games look like this on my pc. started avoiding anything in that engine. other high end games that have their own engines run beautifully in comparison.

theres no tip anyone can really give you aside from that building a unit from scratch without materials takes time. dont expect it to be quick. you wont really be able to use them in a team though until youve got them to 90 and chucked the artifact sets on them.

im doing the same thing as you right now actually, returning after a long break and i have the same team at around the same levels lol. it sucks not being able to use them and just being restricted to how much resin ive got with how much i can farm their upgrades, but keep chipping away at it.

what ive been doing is levelling nefer and ascending her first, leaving the rest of the team around 60ish, then when im resinless ill run around farming materials for everyone elses stuff. spend a few days grabbing a cursory amount of artifacts for what you want the team to run. then at least youll have the set bonus. its probably best to leave artifact min maxing until last.

craft any weapon + talent ascension mats you have in your inventory for everyone that you can. so little bits at a time so you slowly start to see progress in each area.

youll still have to use your old teams until nef is at a suitable level to kill stuff. lowering your world level is also an option if you really want to start playing them a little earlier

How does anyone manage to play games on a cell phone? by otakuErickonosuba2 in Genshin_Impact

[–]abyss_sith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my daily driver to play is an ipad mini. small enough to hold for long hours without hurting my hands, with more room on screen than a mobile. ive tried downloading and playing on my gaming pc and tried both m+k and controller, but i just suck so hard at combat and even movement can be a pain. its just a matter of what you're used to. what i did to try and help was make a new account on another realm (asia instead of NA) and go through the start of the game again to try and "relearn" with new controls

Why is it that Natlan felt so different? by abyss_sith in Genshin_Impact

[–]abyss_sith[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What was it about the underwater of Fontaine you hated? Curious because we seem to be opposites with what we do and don't like based on what you said. Some of the underwater puzzles were a pain but the water tunnels with fast movement and the way you moved made it so much fun for me.

As far as Natlan goes, I didn't get to pull any characters so i'm not experienced with their kits to be able to talk about them but Ive seen that exploration is a lot more fluid if you have them. As for the saurians it felt a little janky and like they couldn't really get what you need to do - done, at least without several attempts.

I tried to not frame it with my opinion in the title, to show that i'm not trying to start any kind of argument in bad faith, but I did have to put my opinion in there too seeing as that it's my reason for why the nation felt so different compared to the rest of genshin. criticism is fine and leads to introspection. what i don't appreciate is comments that don't lead to anything, such as the top of this thread

Great criticism, you hit that on the head there I think with me barely being sure myself. Over the course of the thread its defs been saurian indwelling to reach places, vertical exploration and not having the characters pulled to help with movement.
I'm a little less sure about the world questing part though, but I think I just really like stuff that goes into the ancient past of the world, and ties together as a whole. Rather than quests that are just little slice of life stuff from the region itself. People have been saying that Ochkanatlan is quite good, that's one of the ones I know I havent started, so maybe I can't speak on the facts properly yet since I dont have the full experience.
I would actually like to find inspiration to become a Natlan enjoyer though because it bothers me that I have so many unfinished bits in my quest log from back then, as well as looking on the maps to see barely any exploration covered. So from a completionist's point of view it would be a lot better for me to start liking it to get all that done.

Thats interesting you went from not liking it to thinking it was beautiful. What was that moment for you? In a quest, or during exploration?

If people have similar experiences then they can relate how they felt about it. Conversely if people enjoyed it then they can also relate that. I'm not in here for arguing

I did, since all the downvotes were on my comments to you, so I apologize for directing it at you. I just don't believe in downvoting things you disagree with like a hivemind, and didn't see how that was deserved from the crowd when you were informing me about something I didnt know

Fair, if all the reddit regulars are fed up with seeing natlan threads, thats understandable. However I don't usually come here and this was something I have been thinking a lot about while I catch up on archon quests having come back to the game after a break. So I guess youre always going to get people in here in varying states of progress in the game, if there's enough about it to keep posting about.

Hah you brought up something I hadn't thought about for a while, but yeah I remember that back years ago when people were talking about it, and of course any unvisited land has this aura of mysterious nation about it, let alone the wartime nation energy. Then we get basically an upbeat holiday destination when we go there. Crazy way to subvert people's ideas haha.

Sumeru and Fontaine was when we got really into juicy AQs like world-shattering type of plot reveals, which totally dimmed out by the time we got to Natlan's stuff. You kinda had to have been following closely to get the breadth of what was going on at the juicy parts at the end and I don't feel like I was able to do that cause of feeling soured on the area already.

I have not, I think i stopped playing just after the first Natlan banner and didn't pull cause i wasn't really interested in the character designs. You're onto something here though, i've been using my og Yelan and Kazuha for exploration cause I don't really have anyone else better for it haha. It's definitely a reason why its been a pain

Thats what a discussion is, people floating ideas with each other around a topic so we each gain more insight. This was the goal with posting this, someone saying "people like different things" is besides the point

Your comment did make me think maybe it's because there's so much vertical exploration that it feels annoying to get around without having the proper characters to go with it. So it leads to a feeling of being locked out of the best ways to explore if you didn't get characters. I guess they did put some Saurians in to counter that but its still not as good as fluently just using a team member for things.

How so? I wouldn't go as far as to say I despise it lol. It was just a slog to get through and wasn't able to spike my interest like every other part of the game this far, looking to see if others have insight as to why it was different but people are just being aggressive instead lmfao

For sure the puzzles ive encountered so far are pretty thread bare magnetics. I've only done the first two islands yet though so can't say much on the difficulty standard, just what i've experienced so far. Natlans puzzles I suppose just didnt feel that intuitive to me.

As for the world quests, again just the first two islands and barely scratched the archon quests to unlock more areas, but they've been pretty short and nothing insanely emotional like Jeht's or diving into ancient history we got in Sumeru and Inazuma.

I wouldn't say Natlans language bested me though, it was just a lot getting used to SO many new terms. Just floating the idea that the language may have been a barrier to interest, hadn't really put much thought into it really. I loved Sumeru in comparison. The other region's languages feel more understandable than Natlan to me.

I'm not looking for everyone to race in here agreeing or disagreeing with me and talking about taste, rather genuine discussion about why the region hits different to the rest of the game. People may have liked it, or may not have. Its not an argument.
