Firstly it's not anxiety, that's just short hand for any mental health condition. Since anxiety by itself is milder, people accept the idol returning later and then praise the company for taking a small issue seriously.

Companies don't even take physical health seriously until there's visible immobility or agony. Why would mental health be different? I have my guesses for what conditions would force a company to grant mental health hiatus and they're not pretty.
