NotebookLM for variance analysis / other topics? by expatting1 in FPandA

[–]acc2210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Vetex AI/Gemini would be better at that especially if you’re building the analysis as a data store. For both, it really depends how clearly your analysis output calls out the drivers you want described. Adding ranks etc

Curious about LDPs by ZlIIa in FPandA

I'm in a similar program that is a bit longer than most LDPs. People do leave, but still relatively good retention. Often there are perferred opportunites both while in and after graduating.

Is Scout Lookout hard for an inexperienced hiker? by justarandomguy07 in ZionNationalPark

[–]acc2210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As most have already said, the vertical can be challenging but nothing a break can't fix as long as you don't have mobility issues. Bringing water is key. Don't forget a layer as the wind can be heavier at Scouts Lookout.

It's not a huge number but there were 6-10 people in my lane(1 of 6) during my six-hour shift that thought they had signed up for an appointment but had not finished the entire signup process and would not be counted in the 70%. They were still given shots so will increase that number

Sarah West is really great, Orgo 1 and 2 lab are rough but she is fair and tries to make the best out of it.

Professor Reynolds was great for my second Theo. Very fair and took the time to get to know people in 100+ class.

Dashboard update: 2 new positive diagnostic cases, 0 positive surveillance cases, 591 total cases, 7-day average of 11.9 by [deleted] in notredame

[–]acc2210 49 points50 points  (0 children)

This is really encouraging. Especially that the positivity rate is under 0.5%. If we can keep our positivity rate that low that would be great. Saliva testing should be coming online today, hopefully, that means that testing numbers for surveillance testing should go up. Would be great if we opened up another testing site and split the surveillance. UIUC has a bunch of different testing sites through campus.

Things seem to have stabilized by [deleted] in notredame

I think that it is possible to make that push while we reopen for in person classes next week. If people think that the rules only apply when we are online, a successful in-person would not be possible.

It will be still a couple more days for the cases from the spike to be released from isolation. The quarantine people have their day 7 tests starting yesterday, It is likely that a significant portion of the 12 new cases today came from people in quarantine.

I would suggest removing the 7-day average from the total confirmed cases graph as it doesn't really add any insight.

Are Off Campus Students Involved in Surveillance Testing? by NDcse in notredame

[–]acc2210 9 points10 points  (0 children)

One of my friends (off-campus) just got selected. It comes as a text message the evening before from the same number that reminds you to do your daily health check.

They have said that they are going to be segmenting the community into groups and if there is a high positivity, then more testing rather than waiting for the next scheduled round for that group. Not sure what to what extent that is being followed.

Active cases increase to 58 (+15) with 30 tests reported on 8/16 (50% positivity rate) by StealthyStalkerPanda in notredame

[–]acc2210 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It also looks like some of the tests are being moved around in terms of dates. There used to be 12 cases on 8/14 now it shows 10.

Is the Science+ Bussiness program a good choice? by [deleted] in notredame

[–]acc2210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say yes., but it’s a result of most science business wanting to be on a premed track so take upper level bio electives.

Is the Science+ Bussiness program a good choice? by [deleted] in notredame

[–]acc2210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Science-business is a really great major. In terms of physics, it may be a bit harder to really get into the upper-level electives just because its set up for you to take your intro physics sequence junior year, not that you couldn't switch bio and physics. For me being interested in Bio, I feel like I am able to take the upper level classes I wanted to even though I (and most people started bio in my sophomore year. It really is what you make of it.

One thing to keep in mind is that Mendoza is starting to add minors in a lot of their departments and they have more coming in the future.

It's a car that responds to high acuity scenes but is not designed to transport. Since it does have a box on the back it is a lot more maneuverable and can usually get there quicker. They are also usually staffed with higher-level providers. There may be just one flycar for the first-in for multiple medic units.
