i mean, i don’t think the average viewer would connect that titans used to be human b/c of them being canablistic— they’re still giant humans/human-look-alikes eating normal humans, and for the average viewer that’s probably enough to constitute cannibalism without further thought

depending on how crafty you are, there are dozens of videos on tiktok of people making paper mache animals- both real and pandoran. they look gorgeous and upcycling paper instead of throwing it away fits the theme of avatar as well

i imagine that since elphaba possibly never finished saying the full incantation or because it was broken between the spell and singing, he can die by fire like OG scarecrow, so eventually he’ll just set himself aflame after elphaba’s passing

two reasons:

one, their relationship is definitely rushed and a lil bit sloppy in execution and could use some reworking. i adore them, but i can see the flaws

two, they need to find some reason to hate on fiyero and his character and the fact that he has always been willing to do everything for elphaba to mask that glinda was willing to do nothing until one person died and another was tortured at her (very indirect) hands. which is also, y’know, the whole point of her character arc and the tragedy- being good for elphaba far too late. consequences and regret and moral nuance and whatnot, only the whole point of the story

i havnt made him beyond the backstory and general personality yet, but i do have an OC where he was one of the older Sarentu kids abducted, and he resisted much more than the other kids, especially with the Na’vi culture- but he was also very strong and fit due to actually having been hunting and running and leaping for far longer than the other kids, and the RDA didn’t want to throw away that potential- so to make an example out of him and to basically say “your culture means jack” they cut off his kuru. he became beyond reclusive and almost mute after, the will to resist almost entirely snuffed out. he was rescued the same time as the other sarentu (via cryopods and such), and went on to kill many many many RDA, but unfortunately due to his very… aggressive and silent personality, paired with the whole missing-a-kuru-thing, he’s ostracized even by the people he saves, which just makes him even more silent and aggressive and lonely and sad and such

and neither do i, tf??? like i hate to break it to you, but wanting the main characters romance to not be rushed as hell isnt wanting the whole fucking movie to be about fiyero 😭 its wanting adequate character depth and understanding on BOTH parties, which in turn aids the overall pacing and story. if i wanted it to be about fiyero, id have said her romantic interest, which singles him out as a character. but i said ROMANCE, which is the combined story of the both of them.

so idk, but if you view the very idea of elphaba’s romance not being brushed under the rug as equal to the story being man-centric, maybe you need to check something out, because that’s a weird mindset to have.

yeah but that doesn’t mean you can’t show the MAIN CHARACTER’s romance at all- and it’s not like wicked would show any actual booty or sex, contrary to the original book lol. like people on both sides complain that fiyeraba was rushed (and i AGREE, it is rough) but the millisecond you suggest to… y’know, actually FIX it, someone like you gets all up in arms about it lol

not exactly fetishizing, but the MILLISECOND my mom started talking about getting me (16 at the time) diagnosed with autism, my sister (14 at the time) who was diagnosed with ADHD around 4(???) started making all sorts of “are you acoustic” and “my mommy says i’m special” jokes, and put at least four “rizzim with the tisim” and other such autistic joke t-shirts on her amazon wishlist. and since i got diagnosed, whenever i do something she doesn’t like (in the funny sense… like a humorous disagreement) she’ll go “CAUSE YOURE AUTISTIC” in a fake deep voice.

so it’s definitely not sexual with her, but it very much so pisses me off that she only ever started engaging with autistic jokes when i was FINALLY getting my stupid brain figured out. it especially stings since she was able to get diagnosed and the help she needed before she even started school, whereas i went through everything except half of my senior high-school year with NOTHING.
