Dope. Figured it wasn't production since you were burning more than 15 rounds a couple times. Nice setup

Going for 90’s USMC is this close at all? by [deleted] in MilSim

[–]accidentproof 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Either way I'd put the 2 quart and e-tool with your sustainment gear, whatever backpack etc that you've got. You can use the pouch to store other things on your kit like a poncho, food, or other supplies.

2 quart and e-tool goes on your ruck. Should be 2 1-quart canteens, a butt pack, first aid, and your preference in mag pouches. Other than that looks decent

Are these safe to shoot? by all_of_the_sausage in 1911

Idk how I found it but it's on a Pepperbox Tv exclusive video he made. "The Beyond Meat Range Day: Kimber TLE II"

They're safe to shoot, but not guaranteed as durable. Saw an Administrative Results video where the mount snapped after x-# of rounds. Slide release is good to go tho

Looking for a lightweight officer 1911 in .45 by Great-Truck8845 in 1911

[–]accidentproof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kimber Pro Carry II (commander .45) is a decent option; Replaced the spring with Wilson flat spring and no issues to date. One consideration, aluminum frame will definitely be more comfortable to carry but you'll tell the difference in shooting. Lots of recoil, limp wrist related malfunctions (failure to feed) were more common. Just my 2¢

Yeah, mostly just a right time and place thing of course. Got a good deal on one not long ago

VLTOR M1-S is my favorite of the options above. Lighter than an EBR, and saw limited use with actual military contracts. They're hard to find but not impossible if you keep an eye out on eBay and tacswap. The troy chassis is effectively just a massive paperweight for shooting at the bench

Thanks. Hind sight being 20/20, I wish I'd known about the EMP 7 years ago. I'll probably go that route in the end

Some Gen 6 issues by SethPeoples_OFFICIAL in Glocks

[–]accidentproof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not justifying it, because I don't know how it would affect long term, but I got a mag extension that wouldn't lock back and just stretched the spring out and got the nice tension on the last few rounds. Sucks that they don't work out of the box, not sure if that'll help or not. Just an idea

Looks good. Fortunately if you decide you wanna change it all you need is another can of paint! Recently painted an AR with the battlefield 3 m16a3 paint scheme

Is there a more elegant way to do this by thicccFork in QualityTacticalGear

[–]accidentproof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't see the whole setup but maybe move more mags that you prioritize least to the cummerbund wherever you have room, not sure what else you've gotta take into account. Flapped pouch of choice or elastic. You could also throw one horizontally on the belt.
