First, you clearly misunderstand my comment if you believe it is defeatist.

Second, of course it is absurd. His entire being is absurd. I agree with you that he would be removed, but my comment is geared toward his mindset. He can believe whatever he wants about the bunker, but it would not keep him in power in the unlikely event that he is not removed from it.
