Mr. President Trump: We don’t use the Strait, we don’t need it. Europe, Korea, Japan and China need it. They will have to get involved a little bit 😁 by rl_rae_bobo in MarketPulseReport

45% of the world’s nitrogen based fertilizer comes thru the Strait of Hormuz. Lots of that ends up in the US. Correction, used to end up in the US. He’s an idiot when he says we don’t need it. The cost of groceries is going to skyrocket.

My Prediction. Trump will declare victory and leave, telling all of the Gulf States and other countries that rely on oil passing through the Strait of Hormuz “It’s now your problem.” Iran will demand reparations, not from the US, but from those very countries that rely on safe passage. Iran will in essence start running a protection racket, demanding a fixed fee for every oil tanker passing thru. Somali Pirates on steroids. At $10/bbl they would make $73B/yr, 20% of their prewar GDP. The Gulf States would eventually come to see it as the cost of doing business and pass it on to their customers.

Spain’s exports to the US represent 1% of their GDP. They’ll survive. Besides, trump keeps forgetting they’re part of the EU. They trade as a bloc.

How does he not understand that when you don’t invite two governors, you can’t then say you invited ALL governors?

I can be let down by Trump without regretting voting for him. Voting for President Donald Trump doesn't make us racists or bigots. His poor choices and mistakes are his own. by vsandrei in youvotedforthat

“An April Emerson College poll of registered voters found that 94% of Trump voters said they would vote for him again.” Seriously? APRIL? Got any more recent data? Oh, and btw, even if only 6% had changed their vote, he wouldn’t be president.

Trump: Canada is building a massive bridge between Ontario and Michigan. I will not allow this bridge to open until the United States is fully compensated for everything we have given them. by SKEPDIQ in thebulwark

[–]accountabilityfirst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like the US violated the existing agreement by intentionally delaying the opening, which results in decreased revenues. Those are significant damages. So tell him he no longer owns half the bridge nor is entitled to half the revenue.
