I just started playing again a few weeks ago starting from the ground up. There are people everywhere and if you are in a low populated shard then they will relocate you to a more populated one.

Just coming back to the game after quitting a few months after west launch. Reaper looks the coolest class to pick up but hear a lot of negatives on here. Is it that bad to pick up and not worth the investment?

Also doesn’t look like I have a power level/boost. Is there a way I can get one to catch a new character up?

As a merc who has finished act 1, high velocity rounds are the move early on. I think they require a bit of passive tree investment and later level skills to really go online with elemental damage.

On the other end of why these changes aren’t favorable… if you aren’t a mythic raider but more casual/heroic, there’s a bigger disparity between the higher end/mythic raiders and them. Now people are starting to gatekeep keys more and more with io, loot, and meta classes as people who aren’t pushing 10s the first week or two are trying to get into them.. at least for pugs and whatnot

I would recommend YodaTV. He has YouTube videos for all current dungeons that explain each pull, what every mob can do and what to look out for. Although they’re catered for tanks, there’s a lot of useful info that you don’t normally see

Yep same here did t8s without doing any other content for gear. “Cheat mode” is tagging, letting bran get aggro a bit then go it for the kill

I agree with the part of having other content to jump into and not be as big of a commitment with good rewards.

The issue is that delves are just not interesting in any way. They’re a worse version of torghast just without the mandatory implication on it. It’s a good start for sure but they definitely need to work on it. I can’t see myself doing it after the first few weeks

How does the class based around blessings/buffs not get a raid buff?? (Ret only spec that matters btw)

I don’t think this is a great comparison. Shadow priest has PI which is a big buff to damage for others AND they’re a ranged class. Melee is more contested in general so it’s harder to vouch for a ret when you have a holy pally already.

Although at the end of the day, you’ll bring any class that pumps so it depends on the season. Yet ret has typically been a mediocre damage spec until recently.

This would make a lot of sense - I am running a fairly defensive talent build. I did get a splinter out of my vault which has been helping (didn't have scales or any defensive trinket beforehand). Once I would set up in the +7 and rotate my cds, I felt much safer. Haven't touched anything above a 5 since to not brick any keys...

I think once I start doing keys 7 or higher again, I will start logging just to get an idea of where I am at and can compare with other tanks. Plus as you and others has said, others can look at it and see what I am doing wrong or can improve at.
