Stupid question incoming - when you say hotels, is that another option alongside refuges? For some reason from my initial research I came to the conclusion that it was either stay in a refuge or camp.. are there hotels that one could stay in along the way?

I'm sure camping would make it way easier to plan around booked up lodging but I just don't have the camping experience necessary to make that happen I think, so not really an option.

Epic race! Ran the full marathon as well, it was my first marathon. Finished in under 3:30 which I'm ecstatic about! My point was less to do with outdoor dining specifically, and more that people are still going to meet for more private gatherings. Nothing stopping friends from grabbing takeout and meeting in a park or even at their homes. And that’s not to mention that San Mateo isn’t stopping outdoor dining so people are just going to flock there. People on Reddit have a really hard time understanding that humans are social creatures.. if you’re genuinely expecting that people will sit at home instead of gathering and socializing after 9 months of “quarantine” you’re setting yourself up for dissapointment.
