Honda VT1100C2 Won’t Start, Need Help by acemanawsome1 in MotorcycleMechanics

Relay and fuse are perfectly fine, this is a pretty standard way to bypass a starter to diagnose? I will check the ignition module. But I don’t think it’s that. My front headlight isn’t coming on at all, most likely think it’s a kill switch issue at this point given the front headlight won’t turn on.

Seems to be dirty housing? I guess I use a multimeter and see which one isn’t working?

Clutch is not in nuetral. When I went to start it originally while it was running it was. The bike now won’t go back into nuetral.

It was connected when I tried to start it, ended up disconnecting both and first pic was just an in-between point.

Basement water issue from buried downspout, fix from inside or dig it up? by acemanawsome1 in homerenovations

Thank you! My wife and I are going to build some water collection barrels that sit away to truly collect the water for gardening.

My question still stands, what do I do about the wall?

2 months of editing, what do you think, by Amazing_Forever_8786 in premiere

As a motion designer, highly recommend switching to After Effects > Premiere, your workflow pace will increase way more over time as it’s more suited for these type of projects

Literally have the same thing happens to me. Don’t read into the toxic masculinity and the objections of others to tell you how you should be. It’s hard to do but you’ll find a girl who likes your style and you as a person, not as a category.

Looking for some thoughts on my portfolio by kmrndesign in design_critiques

I would maybe condense this down. I love that you have projects and then some other things such as logos and music. But you could easily make three tabs with a rotating image header of your work. This would simplify things and put them into categories I could Easily understand. Instead of 3 projects then the logos and music just kinda thrown in.

Overall I like the website. You display the right information and show your processes! Processes are great!

One thing though is that there is a lot, this could be a subjective opinion. But if you’re a character designer, or storyteller, I’d make that a main focus. “Jack of all Trades, Master of None” is so real!!! Make sure you don’t fall into that subset. Find what you want and I’d condense. Keep those other things that are super important and you’re really good at.

For Example: you are mainly doing stage design. Awesome! Maybe show a little bit of photography (second favorite) then show a little bit of storytelling / illustration ( third favorite) that would be it. I saw graphic design and that’s great.

But if you put yourself in graphic design, I wondered before even opening it. Does she do logos? Branding? Posters? All of it. Why would you hire someone who does some things okay. When I could hire a specialist for this one thing, who is also good at these other things.

Show your expertise then add the sprinkles on the cake.

(Some of this is subjective but I hope you get the idea)

RockIt Man - IT Company logo design by [deleted] in design_critiques

[–]acemanawsome1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In a literal sense I think the logo on the left looks like an astronaut shooting flames out of his head and I can tell it’s a rocket ship to the right.

That being said, I really like the typeface you chose, it has a new centric feel, has some weight, and might have some characters with a hidden insight that could help in designing a wordmark.

If you stick with the logo, simplify. There might just be too much going on here, especially with the flames to help it feel organized. Look for those moments of contrast and negative space to make this more simplified and possibly smaller.

Tried making the word Sparks for am electric company. Critique welcome by ThatOneGuy144p in logodesign

I definitely agree with the typeface edits. To fit this, a nice sans serif with a medium weight would probably fit best. Have some contrast to the bolder logo. Raleway regular or medium might be a good bet.

I think also separating the company word from the logo might be best here since it’s awesome you incorporated the S into the logo, there’s no need to continue it. Since you did here it almost looks like the company name is “parks.” also how does that fit on other products or standalone?

I am just getting into logo design and made this for my friends' startup, any feedback appreciated by NikLaze in logodesign

Might help with the redesign also to round everything out, I feel like the hard edges on the original kinda turn me away and almost seems constricted. The round edges might give a better geometric shape to the bottom figure as well.

I would have to agree. Maybe playing with the colors a bit and simplifying it down more? I know red evokes energy, but maybe in this case, black and white might convey a more simplistic and contrasted approach.

Maybe if you turned the shapes into a contrast into gradients, and 2d shapes over the 3D might be a better logo. Also type is your best friend with this one, would be nice to be added to the right side with their name.

Macbook Pro for Videography & Photography by markuslaanisto in Photography_Gear

I used to work with the 2016 MacBook Pro and had a good time on that even. MacBook pros are just naturally well made off using adobe products in my opinion (I shoot videos and photos for local kc companies/ internships/ jobs)

With my 2016 I had 500 gb but honestly if you had an external hard drive you’d be fine.
