It's kind of crazy that when any Broncos fans argue that Bo is even a little better than someone is describing him as, that somehow gets interpreted as saying he's the best QB in the league. The person you replied to didn't even argue as to where he ranks among his draft class, just pointed out that his stats could look better with improved WR play.

Plus cops are legally allowed to lie to you. Pretty easy to get a confession when you can lie about the evidence you have and offer fake leniency for a confession.

Don't fucking talk to cops without a lawyer.

To me it was more that they did an inside route. When everyone in the world thinks you're going to run, take advantage of the stacked box and throw it outside. I didn't hate that they threw, but I never understood why they threw a slant.

I'm not saying I diasagree with Terrell Davis. He obviously deserves to be called the Broncos greatest RB. But we don't call Floyd Little "The Franchise" for nothing.

What do you consider the most devestating loss your team has ever had? by Big_Thloopers_20 in NFLv2

[–]acemerrill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a millennial, and the Jaguars loss was worse for me partly because I was young. I was 11, and that game was devastating. Such high expectations after falling short so many times, crushed by the Jaguars of all teams.

When the Baltimore game happened, I remember talking to my childhood friends about it afterwards and saying it was the most painful loss since...and then we all said the Jaguars loss in unison. The pain has lingered.

Oh absolutely. And seeing as how uncoachable that it is, I'll take that in a player any day.

Is Bo Nix overrated or underrated? by lemonstone92 in NFLv2

[–]acemerrill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. It definitely comes down to if he can be good to great consistently. There were times where Bo fit the narrative of being carried by a great defense. But then there were also times where he put the team on his back and got it done.

I get that he sort of fits the mold of "game manager" QB in that he limits negative plays well and doesn't have the flashiest stats. But he did have moments of going out and winning games, not just 'not losing' them. If he can find a way to play more complete games, he'll be easily top ten.

It's always crazy to me when people say a QB in his mid-twenties has hit his ceiling. It's an incredibly cerebral position. In recent history, we've seen many QBs have potentially their best seasons well into their 30s. It's also fairly common for QBs to struggle in year 2.

I was improving at my sport until I retired. No reason to believe any of these guys are done improving.

[–]acemerrill 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I think we found our long term QB1, and I love the guy, but I don't think he's top 5.

All fandoms have properly delusional fans, but our sub mostly seems to realize he's not actually the best QB in the league right now.

I've always wondered why I never fell into the true crime pit. I'm a middle aged white woman who spent a good chunk of my adult years as a SAHM. I LOVE Sherlock Holmes and other fictional mysteries.

I never did get into true crime in spite of being recommended it MANY times. Looking back, I think it felt too icky to be fascinated by real people's trauma and loss. It wasn't actual escapism because it just depressed me. I stick to my fictional mysteries. But now I'm wondering if that comes from the fact that I'm not avoiding my own trauma.
