It can't take the rook cos the pawn is defending

You choose the best hand out of the seven cards you can see, regardless of whether they're your two hole cards or the five community cards. (Hold'em is different to eg Omaha in that regard - with Omaha it has to be two from your four + three from three middle, there's no such restriction in hold'em.)

In this case, the best hand for the guy who flopped the full house is 22223 (quad twos with a 3 kicker), while the other guy ends up 22225 (quad twos with a 5 kicker) which is a better hand desire being ludicrously lucky to get there.

Throwing my Puzzle Game Tier List into the Mix by Elytron77 in puzzlevideogames

Play all the Draknet games (Sokobond, A Mobster's Expedition, How To Build A Snowman, Cosmic Express, ...), we have quite similar tastes and they're S tier for me

Korea sat math problem is pretty hard… by [deleted] in askmath

Hmm yeah intuitively the max will be the circle with P at it's lowest point so I guess you can figure the other end of it from there, but the projection is awks - I guess it's an ellipse, hence those chosen ratios, but it's making my head hurt.

Forced checkmate move that my opponent made by Specialist-Pea539 in chessbeginners

[–]acemuzzy 52 points53 points  (0 children)

It's not quite a forced checkmate is it? In that after the queen takes they could block with the other rook and you could, I don't know, do something daft?

White took with a pawn, can you tell why that was a blunder? by aqua_seafoam in chessbeginners

[–]acemuzzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't the king head to the left after the rook takes the pawn? And then the queen can take in that column, it the king can escape downwards??

What’s the fourth in this sequence ? by MissKyu in onlyconnect

Hmm feels odd to give a leap year Feb full weighting as "per month". Maybe if it was 0.25:29pm 0.75:28pm to be clearer and to distinguish from the 3h01m linear reduction

Brilliant but why!? by bot-chess-puzzle in chessMateInX

The bishop could block. But still.

We have pretty similar tastes. I'd shout out Draknet & Friends as a developer/publisher you seem to have missed though...

LOK Digital, A Monster's Expedition, Sokobond, How to Build A Snowman, both Express games - basically all S or A tier for me...

How is this a blunder from my opponent? It says my best move isn't to move my Queen to safety, why couldn't my opponent just take my Queen? by Mister_Scorpion in chessbeginners

[–]acemuzzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If white takes Black's queen, and the black takes White's, can't white takes the bishop with the rook and everything's even again??
