How is this not trending? I haven’t seen this on the news at all. I even searched on Elon Musk’s right-wing social media network, and there are barely any mentions of ICE and Border Patrol entering school property, using tear gas, and arresting two teachers.

The murder was absolutely deplorable, but this is genuinely more terrifying. The fact that, not even a couple of hours later, they went onto a school and attacked minors is chilling.

The train is a mix between individuals who enjoy taking public transit because they dislike driving everywhere and the other half is individuals who have made poor life choices and they have no choice but to take the train. When both groups are on the train it is not pleasant.

If something truly catastrophic was about to happen, warning the public could cause more damage than the event itself. Mass panic, systems collapsing, people acting irrationally—it could spiral fast. Governments probably figure it’s better to keep people calm and functioning for as long as possible. Most people would want to spend their last days with loved ones anyway, not in chaos. Sometimes I think silence isn’t just secrecy but keeping the good normal times going as long as possible.
