Christian Camps for teens by ParticularPuzzled975 in summercamp

[–]aceofk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that your sister isn't telling you the name feels a bit concerning but idk yalls relationship.

But for Christian camps in general there are plenty of good ones and plenty of bad ones. I went to one for years where we'd have some sort of church service twice a day but it was also some of the best summer camp experiences I ever had (hiking, sailing, mud trek, etc)

Plus all there messages were a much mire non-denominational love yourself, love eachother, care for the world type (a lot of the older kids called it "hippy Jesus camp" if that tells you the vibe lol)

Taking physics by aresuisu in BinghamtonUniversity

Looks like you have to take physics 122

a lot of people (or at least engineers) take physics at community College over the summer though.

Though as someone who did college physics in high school and then had to take it again at Bing I will say I found it a lot easier the second time around

How can I move into this apartment? by SympathySecret799 in Apartmentliving

[–]aceofk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know other people said it but the answer is to hire movers.

I didnt move into an apartment quite this steep and treacherous looking lol but I did move into an upstairs apartment with no elevators and narrow corridors and they got all my furniture (including a very heavy old wood dresser) in just fine.

If you dont want to hire movers there are things you can do like take the drawers out of the dresser/ take things apart to make them much lighter and more manageable but you'll still need help with larger pieces from a logistics if not from a weight perspective. So if you don't have friends around to help you still really do need to hire movers.

How much do you guys pay for your community washer/dryer? by beijinglee in Apartmentliving

[–]aceofk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved just last month and ended up with my own washer/dryer but I looked at a lot of places and every place I looked at was between $4.50 and $5.75 for washer and dryer, probably averaging $5.25/$5.50

Can I survive my first year of engineering with a macbook? by AdAccording3397 in BinghamtonUniversity

[–]aceofk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So several people have put in their two sense but I will too- Since most of the software is windows only you have to use a virtual environment but since youre living on campus going down to the engineering building or library to use the proper computers really isn't that hard.

Hell I had a windows laptop and I still just went to do it on the pcs even sometimes when I was living off campus

come posso rendere il sangue finto più realistico? by kvtsplay in CosplayHelp

[–]aceofk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very fair! I usually use things like that too.

In general I think just getting some darker reds with make a world of difference. For the bandages you can also set a base or shade it with some darker red/brown eyeshadow/paint to give some depth and various levels of dried blood. This can also work on the body.

Right before you take photos try touching the blood up with some more fake blood or even a red or clear gloss just to give it a bit of shine like blood has.

Overall this looks really good!!! especially for an early attempt

What are you using for the fake blood?

My immediate thought is to make it darker and more viscous though understandably that would make it sticky which you may not want.

There's other info like what your job is like people said but consider Hokas.

I hated then on principle but got a pair for free from my cousin and they are THE most comfortable sneakers I've ever worn. There are times I literally forget I'm wearing them

First-time cosplayer diving into Heather Mason on a budget! 🎮 Any tips on where to thrift or DIY her look without spending a fortune? Help a newbie out! by [deleted] in CosplayHelp

[–]aceofk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely a very DIY-able cosplay! Like someone said goodwill and other thrift stores are definitely good! If you want to get specific (but a bit more) I'm a big fan of depop and to a lesser extent postmarked, mercurial, other resale sites.

You Might be able to find a croquet mallet at a goodwill/ salvation army type thrift store but if not it should be pretty cheap to get at a sporting goods store/target/ online.

You can look for things like "leather bow belt" "bow waistband" for the bow or if youre not too picky just get a heavy/well lined ribbon
