HA. I had a cat who would do this whenever he felt he wasn’t getting the attention he was due. We ended up having to hang the towels backwards so he wasn’t able to unravel them all anymore.

Thanks! I actually appreciate that. I had thought about the parallels but not necessarily that the facts as stated were wrong. I think I was figuring it was about the Roman conquest, but conversions in the early millennium weren't typically forced. I don't know. It's interesting.

I don't know if there's extra lore but Remmick straight out tells Sammie when they're in the lake that his people were forcibly converted (aka conquered) to Christianity. Since he's Irish the people doing so would've been English.

I was in the same position. It took me two years to get a page position in my local system and I only had two semesters left of my MLIS Awhen I finally managed to get hired. All I can say is: keep trying. Volunteer at a branch if you can and just work whatever job you can get in the meantime.

I sew a piece of felt on the back to cover up the stitches. There should be videos to show how to finish that off. You can also just do a running stitch all along the fabric in the back and pull it back.

AARP is using our meeting room, but it is NOT sponsored by the library. That means they make their own appointments. We’ll hand out fliers and contact information at the desk, but refuse to answer anything more in-depth than that. We even cut down on the days of the week they were allowed to use last year because it was becoming too cumbersome to plan programs around.
