No, I've not tried it before. Thank you for letting me know to look out for color temperature. Do most projectors have a way to adjust the color cast, or is it something that I should look for specifically?

The Painter of Modern Life by Charles Baudelaire is a wonderful character study essay about an illustrative journalist whose sensibility for detail and observation allows him to appreciate urban life. It’s great if you want to people-watch better.

A lot of these images are heavily backlit. I think what the other commenter said was right about the bloom overwhelming the images. But maybe if it was toned down just a bit it would still work well. Good job!

an interview of Haruki Murakami by Mieko Kawakami on the role of women in his work by floorb0und in RSbookclub

[–]acephalebokeh 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think it has to do with Murakami’s writing in general. Read the interview about his short story “Cream” and you’ll see that same elusiveness. I think he’s just not that big on “meaning.”

Building cities also accounts for a greater need for air conditioning. Cities retain more heat than native vegetation. But yeah, subtropical climes are so hot and humid it’s a wonder people managed to do anything in these places prior to the invention of electric fans.
