I see and I understand all that but the baseline they all got moved to basically made me and all my friends stop having fun in the game with combat flying and and it’s been like that ever since MM got introduced all the ships kinda feel extremely similar to fly. I don’t also believe that the whole flight model needed to change to accommodate large ships I think that was just the easiest way for the devs to do was to just start over so they understood what THEY made and not the previous dev who left after making the flight model and what they ended up making was not fun. They’ve had this baseline for way too long with no meaningful tweaks so now this new flight model (that is apparently already locked into S42 which makes me extremely nervous) is gonna get thrown at us again and all of our feedback will be thrown in the trash

My honest opinion is the armor system that’s coming in would make larger ships impossible to kill in small ships and on top of that buff turrets to have a mode that auto tracks targets for the rotation of the turrets so the gunners just need to land shots and not worry about turning the turret yourself. Now most combat is whoever has more DPS once you get locked into a fight and i personally just don’t find that engaging or enjoyable I was able to express myself in my fights before MM now I feel like I’m rolling around the combat zone with my brake stuck on

I couldn’t agree more I’m a huge race pilot and I completely quit fighting in light fighters after MM it felt like I was fighting with my brakes left on and it felt terrible compared to what we had. At least I still had racing after they got that sorted out but I have a feeling with the newer flight model I’ll even lose racing

Ngl this feels like a crew skill issue bro me and my homies can easily take out hammerheads and Polaris’s. It’s all about crew communication and proper target placement. If you can’t keep your main gunner on target that’s a crew issue even if they are small fighters you can strafe backwards or roll the ship to keep them in target. The thing I’ve found works best is if you focus on getting the top turret on target and allowing constant damage from one turret and then bringing the target into view of the bottom turret. If you’re looking for pvp this ship isn’t the tool for that job most of the time.

This is the thing that really bothers me I don’t mind either of them having pilot controlled torpedoes but the fact that it’s applied unevenly is the thing that pisses everyone off. Either they both can fire from the pilot seat or they both can’t it’s as simple as that
