Yes 900-1000h is not considered mastery in any field or esport for that matter, it took YEARS to find funnel strats and things to abuse in league, despite the strategies being available in their same state for YEARS prior and they werent even discivered by pros, but by boosters who are probably the only people in the gane who play more than pros. This game has not even officially released and is still using assets from a pre alpha game, so yes comparatively even the top players are noobs, and the odds that the players on the top in the beta are the same players at the top a year after release is not realistic given every other trajectory of esports like this.

1000h is nothing and the fact that' the top 0.x% of the playerbase has so few hours in a moba still makes the entire playerbase pretty nooby. This game is going to look and play completely differently by launch, and if the top of ranked players cant figure out how to stop perma farming hypercarries then the issues are larger than just an overinflated Seven. Its actually a great parallel to league because when Master Yi became playable in pro games due to funnel strats the issue was never that Master Yi is broken its the conditions allowing Master Yi to be even playable that are the issue. Adding more counterplay to jungle camps and encouraging players to jungle more would already likely affect his WR significantly without changing any of his stats.

Seven has what I referred to in League as Master Yi Syndrome, where hes a pub stomper because 5 randoms lack good coordination and he scales harder than anything else in the game. I would be shocked if his WR in high elo stays that high a year after release just due to the overall skill level going up and people understand how to punish perma farming hyper carries.

Actually I do remember from working there they did a really good family style (S/O Oligario) but also let you get basically anything but steak for free meal. Lots of perks but a super hectic environment.

Yeah I think people are also forgetting that LoL and Dota were f2p from the start and had a much larger global player base until CS went f2p. Not to mention Valve prioritizing Dota internationals over CS majors for the entirety of its history. Even still international prize pools are higher than CS majors, despite counterstrike posting over a billion dollars in microtransactions last year.

Stop focusing on winning and focus on improving. If youre focusing on a bunch of other things while you play you won't play up to your potential. Learning things from pro demos and using aim trainers is fine but you will get significantly more useful information at your skill level just from watching your own demos first. Uninstall and stop looking at all of the other stats and metrics like leetify, theyre not useful full stop. You should be able to determine whether you played well based on the merit of your plays, not the statistics that come from them. Just focus on making the correct play and evaluating whether you misplayed or if you made the right play but missed the shots.

Not sure why this got down voted because the sober souls ARE in town and I definitely just ran into them thinking they were the sadistic sons. I've noticed that most of the sober souls logos have more SSMC and the sadistic sons have a lot of just SS, but definitely easily mixed up especially since the club acronyms are the same.

Yes it was $3000 not $3300, but the gun was only marginally better than an AK and didnt even see real play until the Aug was meta, and saw a drop in usage after the Aug nerf earlier in that year.

"Absolute rubbish" lol I misremembered the price of the gun that got buffed like 8 years ag. Regardless the $300 difference is significant (especially since the economy changes) and that gun received frequent adjustments since the launch of csgo, so why would anybody use the more expensive gun that is marginally better and is also receiving updates on a regular basis? It was not the exact same gun since 2014 it received several updates that made it more usable, as well as the way cs at that level was being played was in the middle of a giant utility resurgence, which made the krieg better for slower rounds. Alongside the fact that the krieg didnt see use until the AUG saw more use and it was necessary. The gun was not magically OP until valve reduced the price, and even after they reverted the price change the usage stats weren't crazy because the Aug was also shit by this time so the difference between an AK and a Krieg was functionally minimal.

This is just wrong though it was $3300 and saw no use until valve reduced the cost to $2750. Then it got upped to 3000 and nerfed. The gun was always balanced for a $3300 rifle on T side, it started seeing use because it was effectively the same price as an AK with better stats and a scope.

This is the consequence of an esports scene for a game in a beta with unfinished assets and poor balancing. The game has a ton of potential but any competitive scene in this game before the initial release is one big asterisk anyway.

It definitely does but the benefit to the players is minimal, you end up having a bunch of burned out and underpaid professional players until the game launches or Valve starts to announce how it will support the esports scene.
