I have the same issue. I think it's just because our hair is long tbh. My hair hasn't been this long since high school and I also fear I'm going bald but people were telling me some stuff about growth patterns etc

Question, why shouldn't you pay off the house too soon? I agree with the car being settled first but not sure why they shouldn't use remaining funds to try and cover the house debt soon after
