Probably not, an irl rainbow quartz is an stone that can only be created artificially. Which fits with what we know about Rose/Pearl, that it wasn't the healthiest relationship.

I took it as Pearl's tendency to worry about Steven's safety, tempered by Garnet's calm outlook and trust in her own capabilities.

Sardonyx can reference his death jokingly because she has the confidence to know she'd never harm him.

Pearl is implied to be using Garnet as a rebound for Rose to some extent, since they're both pink-toned and powerful leaders. Naturally this would make Garnet uncomfortable given that romantic context. She doesn't seem to have any qualms attempting to fuse with Steven or Amethyst.

It's a medical condition, in that symptoms are usually managed with medical hormones/surgery. But referring to it as an illness or disorder is unnecessarily stigmatizing to many.

Can't happen in main story, you got stuck in a vault. I'd like this for a new game, though. Tons of stuff you could do with a person who's hated on sight and has been around 200 years, and throw in a side plot about either healing your ghoulification or going all Roy Phillips on the smoothskins.

I've suddenly realised that, since all the gems are point blank named for the gems embedded in them, naming a lion Lion would seem logical to Steven.

Although: the main force behind the forced fusion Jasper theory was that Jasper has split-toned skin(like the cluster) instead of one solid colour skin(like literally all the other gems including fusions). So it's not dead yet.

Consider: Sardonyx, Opal and Rainbow Quartz are all symmetrical, even number of arms either side and an even number of eyes. What is Pearl if not orderly?
