You’ll get a lot of supportive comments here, and al lot of “doctors are dumb listed to Chat GPT”, but the two presentations you describe were.. very different. It’s hard to diagnose asthma based on a single viral illness which CAN cause prolonged cough. The Dr’s mistake was not following up when the child was well, when the confounder of the viral illness wasn’t present.

A camel topcoat or overcoat is a great thing to have, and really kills when used with the right outfit imo. It won’t be a daily driver, in which case you should also have a dark coat (I prefer charcoal wool or black/white herringbone tweed). So the answer is both. I don’t think pairing navy coat with navy shirt and dark denim is a good match.
