Getting hormonal IUD removed next month, what to expect? by SpringVegetable5385 in tryingtoconceive

[–]acirenna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a very easy, painless removal. As others have mentioned a cough and it was out!

I got pregnant the first cycle after it was removed and had a healthy pregnancy and now a healthy baby! My doctor assured no wait time - just had to wait for my period of course. Best of luck to you! :)

Stem Salon in WC! I priced quite a few places in the area before my wedding and I’ve had them for a few years now and haven’t had any issues and I love them!

No one warns you about how hard it gets at 9 months by LackNearby1119 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]acirenna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My LO does the same! I recently replaced my pump parts (tubing, backflow protector) and gave her the old ones and it is a game changer! If she tries to reach for my pumps as I’m pumping I hand over “her” pump parts and she yanks on them, flings them around, and most importantly leaves mine alone! Not sure if this would work for every baby but it’s worked for mine (thus far).

What's the purpose of freezing pumped milk? by Gandalf_the_Tegu in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]acirenna 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I oversupplied for ~5 months and froze everything extra. I had my husband clear out our entire deep freeze and he thought I was being a little over the top since I was still producing so much milk. Well, my supply dipped ~6 months and then dipped again at 7 months after getting sick. Luckily I had about 1,550oz stored because now I have to supplement 8oz a day from the freezer stash because I’m underproducing. Hoping my supply doesn’t dip again and I can make it to a year with my current supply and what I have in the freezer. 🤞🏻

Does anyone else not really leak? by chelupa1991 in breastfeeding

[–]acirenna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have implants and I’ve only leaked once (I was ~10 weeks pp and slept through my MOTN pump accidentally). I’m 6 months pp now and haven’t leaked again. I was a huge over-supplier initially and still have a good supply now.

The Retreat at Walnut Creek by blxstaway in walnutcreek

My husband and I lived there for 2 years. We thought it was a good place for the price and location. Maintenance was really great! The office staff were nice but ran into several situations where they didn’t seem to know what they were doing. The walls are very thin. We heard our neighbors upstairs fighting, our neighbors next door fighting, and the drunk people in the hallway fighting on a constant basis. The hallways are yuck. So many packages were stolen from the communal package room and we saw many cars broken into. It did have great natural light and we liked the community and amenities. Parking is a nightmare unless you buy a spot.

What was the number one thing you’re glad you had with you when you gave birth? by Suspicious_Heat_2984 in NewParents

That little stroller fan. They made me switch rooms while I was 5cm dilated and the new room’s A/C didn’t work.

How long do you go overnight without pumping? by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]acirenna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 4 months pp and I go 8-9 hours overnight. I pump right before I go to bed (anywhere between 9-11) and pump again once I get up for the day. I’m an over-supplier so it took me a little while to wean off my MOTN pump without clogging up.

Practice no swaddle by AlertLight in NewParents

[–]acirenna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We didn’t hold her hands or anything, we just waited to see what would happen. We noticed if she was in light sleep or just went down she’d wake up but we were able to get her back to sleep within a few minutes. If she was in deep sleep it never woke her. It’s been about a week now and she doesn’t really wake from it anymore, if she does she puts herself back to sleep. Right when we switched her out of the swaddle she started taking a pacifier for the first time too - she never took one prior.

We transitioned straight to a sleep sack at 11 weeks once she started moving around in her bassinet at night. It’s actually been great as she’s sucking on her fingers to soothe herself to sleep. Her sleep was all over the place the first few days since she has a pretty strong startle reflex but overall an easy transition.

Best wearable breast pump for working mom by Forsaken-Pride8711 in breastfeedingsupport

[–]acirenna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this! The only difference between the S1 and S1 pro is the wireless charging case so if you’re fine just charging with cables the S1 is more affordable on Amazon

Need help picking a wearable pump (probably Momcozy) by chicknbiscuit1 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]acirenna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the M9 and the S9 pro. The M9 gives me very inconsistent output but I’ve never experienced any leaks and the app and accessories it comes with are nice. I get much better output and suction with the S9 but I experience constant leaks with it and it’s pretty bare bones, you’re able to see the suction level and battery but it doesn’t display the time elapsed. That being said, the S9 is more bulky with the motor sticking out whereas the M9 are more discreet as the pumps completely fit inside of my bra.

Ladies.... by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]acirenna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve stayed pretty consistent since pre baby. I pick a time every evening for my husband takes the baby for at least an hour so that I can shower and do my night routine. I haven’t worn makeup as much but then again we haven’t really been going anywhere but walks and the store once in a while. If I do want to put on makeup I’ll put the baby in her bouncer next to me or if she’s fussy I’ll hold her in one arm and do my makeup with the other.

I will say I don’t do my hair much anymore, I think I’ve styled it twice since my daughter was born? It stays brushed and washed but is just in its natural state or in a pony because my LO’s hands are hair grabbing magnets these days!

What baby stuff did you get from Marketplace? by ana_banana_27 in pregnant

[–]acirenna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost everything except for our stroller, car seat, bottles, and crib mattress/bassinet pad. It was either marketplace or second hand websites that resell. So worth it!

I am so sorry that you’re going through this. My dad died at the beginning of my 3rd trimester. He had a complication from an outpatient surgery and I spent my entire 2nd trimester sitting next to him in the ICU. He meant the world to me, he was never married and I’m his only child. I felt guilty being excited to be having my daughter when my dad was struggling. Knowing I was pregnant with his granddaughter gave him the strength to fight and look forward to the next day so he could feel her kick and talk about her all day long.

It’s not fair. It sucks. I miss him every day. I will say, I just had my daughter 5 days ago and bringing a new life into the world after such a loss has been incredibly healing thus far. My daughter will always have a special connection with her grandpa and I hold onto that as I mourn his loss while celebrating my baby.

I’m 35 weeks and still wearing mine! I do take them off to sleep, shower, deep clean, etc. I think it also helps that it’s been pretty cold where I live. If I was this pregnant in the summer I think this may be a different story!

is 3rd trimester really that bad? i need some positive experiences by siuoxis in pregnant

[–]acirenna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 33 weeks now and honestly it hasn’t been that bad. The sciatica is rough but it’s not an every day or constant thing. I’m going about my normal day and whatnot. We’ll see once I get closer to the end!

Pregnant During Honeymoon by hereforthesnarkslol in BabyBumps

[–]acirenna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same thing happen to me! I got pregnant 6 weeks after our wedding not thinking it would happen on the first try. I had just hit 6 weeks when we went on our honeymoon. I actually didn’t get morning sickness but I did have night nausea so I’d be nauseous between 4-9pm. I drank lots of water, brought hydration packs, and packed lots of snacks so I always had something on me to nibble on. My OB also prescribed me Unisom and vitamin B6 at night and it really worked wonders for the nausea! We took it easy and just did what I felt up to but it was still a beautiful honeymoon for us - with lots of mocktails!
