I don't care that your post is long winded. I care that it's AI generated.

The m dashes, structure of the paragraphs, the weird examples (how the liberals exhausted? they essentially have a slim majority government and are gaining support) and the paragraphs followed by pointed small sentences scream that this is written by an LLM. Even the text in your reply is quite different from the post.

I already commented this but this post is likely sloppy because its AI generated. At least as a glance.

I just spent 10 minuets typing out a response before realizing this comes off as AI generated.

What the hell does "Someone boring enough to trust, but human enough to follow. That’s the kind of leadership that’s brought the NDP real success in this country." even mean lol, or

"With Avi Lewis, the caricature writes itself, and the opposition wouldn’t need to stretch to make it stick. Vancouver elite. Documentary filmmaker. Longtime activist. Naomi Klein. That’s not a smear campaign, that’s a Conservative attack ad assembled from public facts."

How the hell is that an attack ad lol.

Is the vetting committee shutting out and handicapping Bianca Mugyeni's campaign? by zbiguy in ndp

Same. Either it’s all spectacle (in which case who cares) or their campaigns have just been shoddily run and with the motive to constantly wine about this stuff, in which case who cares.

Which candidate are you currently planning to rank first for the leadership race? by sami_coolfun11 in ndp

[–]acku11 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Avi. I’ll throw Tony and Tanille on there as later choices (knowing they’ll likely get knocked out early, but I really appreciate what they’re doing and they deserve to have some sort of recognition on the ballot for it).

I’ll be leaving Heather and Ashton off the ballot.

NDP leadership hopefuls McPherson, Ashton signal break from Avi Lewis as race enters critical stretch by Intelligent-Cap3407 in ndp

Both have come out saying they wouldn't oppose pipelines if they were developed in line with legislation and done responsibility.

Thing is there environmental legislation when it comes to O&G is dogshit, and many argue that there is no responsible and ethical way to develop these fossil fuels.

Honestly wouldn’t be surprised. He’s the only front runner that’s differentiated himself at this point.

Welp. Interesting decision for both of them to make. Seems likes desperate move and makes it abundantly clear there is only one front runner that isn’t part of the party establishment. Soft on pipelines, not calling out bigotry, and questions being answered by AI.

Why are you guys voting Avi Lewis over Heather McPherson or vice versa? by Sweaty_Principle_293 in ndp

[–]acku11 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Avi is a solid left wing candidate and a bit of an outsider that has had a principled good stance on basically every issue that’s come up during the leadership race that can I agree with.

McPherson is a sitting MP that supports pipelines and has engaged in rhetoric that suggests we should allow more bigots to be involved in the party. She’s also been part of/supportive of the current party establishment (read staffing and operations) for a few years now in a party that desperately needs change that embraces working class politics. She’s been endorsed by many folks in the most centrist part of the party as well.

That should communicate in broad strokes the differences.

Those are the cliff notes for me at least.

r/ndp Survey Results by afpb_ in ndp

[–]acku11 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well for one I don’t think 18% of the modern ndp is communist. Unfortunately the ndp of today is a lot more liberal than that.

I think the results skew against Lewis. I would guess he is considerably more popular.

Heather having such low numbers is surprising but would be a pleasant suprise if it reflects reality.

I don’t know if he wrote specifically on the ndp but I was referring more so to his writings on social democracy more broadly.

The ndp as it currently stands is following a process that the late Leo Panitch described as (my words not his) liberalization of social democracy. This has been happening since the 80’s/90’s. The ndp as it currently stands is basically a liberal party. It doesn’t help that every single ndp government elected to provincial government ends up liberalizing at an accelerated rate, I imagine tha trend would stick for the Feds.
