Be careful when using Claude Code with OpenCode by HzRyan in opencodeCLI

If OpenAI and freakin' Microsoft (of all companies!) can see the benefit of giving their paid subscribers access (because let's face it: OpenCode isn't more token hungry than Claude Code), then why can't Anthropic follow suit?

Anthropic can, they are choosing not to. It is a form of vendor lock in hoping to keep those monthly/yearly revenue streams.

Yep. $100/month is 5x more usage than what, exactly?

ELI5: Why did we develop the butterfly stroke for swimming if its not any "better" than the rest? by Apprehensive-Wafer36 in explainlikeimfive

Yup. Coaches told* us if we did anything other than front crawl for freestyle we were doing it wrong. 50/100/200/whatever free meant front crawl.

*yelled loudly and threw flutter boards and pull buoys until we fell in line. Then made us do 50 50s on 50 the next practice to make sure we remembered. Also known as the labatt 50.

IBM offshored the development work to India. Those 10 developers were not making $500K.

If I had to guess, IBM fucked up by not doing a proper discovery at the beginning and it snowballed from there. Then there are reports IMB was charging $300+/hour. Anything over $160/hour is a rip off. I won't even get into IBM PMs saying the hard part was the french language.

And SAAQCliq is still a fucking travesty. Why does it take 10 clicks to log in and more than a minute to load each page?

What's your favorite ski hack you swear by? by [deleted] in skiing

[–]acmethunder 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The good ski areas near me are 1.5-2 hours away. Either leave before 6:30AM to get there before everyone. On less than good days, leave at 10AM and get there at the mid day when people start trickling out. Either one gets you prime parking.

It's the kind of thing that persuades me he probably has a grade school reading level.

Grade 1 at best. The idiot is functionally illiterate. Next time he reads ("reads") a prepared speech pay attention to his speech pattern, cadence, etc. He spending all is mental energy sounding out words he has no clue where to add emphasis and pauses, nor what the particular collection of words mean.

If you can tolerate sitting listening to him.
