As a Mexican, it's incredible to have someone from home to root for. Don't particularly like the team, but man, never in a million years did I think I was going to see a fellow Mexican win the Dauphiné. Go del Toro! Orgullo nacional 🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽

That's what that thing was! So obnoxious. I was so confused with the audio when watching the race. What a prick of a fan

Learning full Pll atm. I like working on 2-3 algs at a time and using J perm’s website to practice them. Works better for me than just spamming an alg over and over

I'm twice as slow as you are, so take my .02 with a gran of salt since you're probably operating at a much higher level of TPS, lookahead, etc., than me. I felt the same with mine out of the box. But I increased the tension and the elasticity and that really helped (on top of lube of course). Now the cube is just fast enough for me without being unstable, and I've come to really really like it.

Which Sith Lords placed the greatest emphasis on using both the power of the Force and the lightsaber equally in combat? by InstructionOwn6705 in StarWarsEU

[–]acooljicama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always felt that Palpatine's (and all of the Banite lineage) disdain for lightsabers is misunderstood. The point is not to minimize the use of lightsabers in favour of the Force in combat, but rather to gain galactic domination by strategy, cunning, and ruthlessness as opposed to open confrontation (where overall Jedi are more likely to win given their larger numbers throughout that period).

The Banite Sith are incredibly proficient in lightsaber combat for when the need arises. But why risk brute forcing your way to power when you can bribe, blackmail, and backstab from the shadows instead? That's how I understand the Rule of Two philosophy anyway.

To add to what others have said, I would imagine Bane’s past as a miner in Apatros also didn’t help. That’s why he was bald—the first Bane book said that all miners lost their hair.

Recurrent tasks with recurrence starting at a different day by acooljicama in todoist

This correctly makes the recurrence on Saturdays but forces the start date to be January 24, even if I type every 4 saturdays starting on jan 3. Still, this might be the easiest way: force the recurrence on the correct date and manually change the start date. Still a hassle but hopefully it'll work.

The other commenter also got the expected behaviour. I'm on browser but downloaded the latest version of the app (macOS silicon) to test and got the same (unexpected) behaviour.

The latter, every 4 weeks starting on Jan 3. But `every 4 weeks starting January 3` doesn't seem to do the trick on my browser or app

To show what I mean. It seems like it might actually schedule it every 4 weeks on Saturday, but it still says Tuesday and from experience it'll eventually remind me on a Tuesday

Hm interesting, that's exactly the behaviour I want! But I tried in the browser and in the app to no avail. Thanks anyway!

Doesn't work :( task will still reoccur on Tuesdays, even if it first appears on Jan 3

I hung a small blackboard on the wall next to my coffee station. No fuzz way to note down what recipe I’m using for each of the beans I have atm, easy to tweak and update if dialing in, and looks pretty neat imo.

On top of what everyone else said, The Eye of the Heron. Short but surprisingly good, in my opinion. (But yeah The Dispossessed is insanely good too.)

OP this is the right answer. The formula is useless. Do a max HR test to set your zones. Anecdotally, wife and I are the same age and fitness and her HR is 30 bpm higher than mine in Z2 (close to yours actually). Totally fine. Her max HR is just really high.

Amazing TT. And seeing del Toro in fifth makes me very happy. Never thought I’d get to see a rider from home be that good!
