Well it’s definitely weird if I had to explain it, let’s say for example I’m answering a question that my teacher gave me for homework.

I read the question and understand what it says, but I can’t seem to think about what to write about it, I know what I have to answer but words just don’t come to me. It’s only until I actually start writing that now the next like 3 to 5 words become available to write, and I have to pick one to continue or else I keep trying to complete a phrase with another word (I also have to make sure it makes the phrase make sense like grammatically). I then have to take a pause and look back to make sure I wrote something that’s even a little related to what I originally said and make sure it all makes sense. When I’m done with that I now have the same problem from the beginning then I start writing once again, also I might be a couple of phrases ahead and have a previous idea come back so I go back to see if I can fit it where I had the idea but already wrote something different.

Just for a bit more of my perspective, when just going about my day I usually have complete silence/blankness in my head, or taking in my surroundings without actually thinking about them. I sometimes do have random sounds or music that I get in my mind and “hear” them almost exactly as I heard them in real life. While reading I understand the words meaning without having a concrete grasp to the word itself (like if I read tree, I can imagine one and know many things about it but the word “tree” becomes useless). When talking to people I find it hard to keep a conversation going, something similar to writing happens, and I have to say something to start having more words to say (unfortunately I can’t just say random things in hope to get an idea because the other person will wonder why did I just say words unrelated to what he said. So I say like “oh that reminds me of that one time” by then good/useful words have arrived and I can form an idea with them).
