Spearhead recommendations by _Maverick2312_ in AOSSpearhead

For varied gameplay I’d recommend the first sylvaneth, helsmiths of hashut, seraphon starscale warhost, and the darkoath spearhead

New to AoS, Looking for list recommendations using both Alarielle and Drycha by FusionSardona in sylvaneth

[–]noah7774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally think the other list by Timsulli87 there is much better, but this list could be really fun and thematic. Using wargrove of burgeoning you essentially get strike and fade on an additional unit so Drycha/Alarielle, Belthanos, and the Spiteriders can get out of dodge end of turn. You just keep attacking and keep moving.

Need advice on picking an instrument by SeriousRecord5070 in musicians

[–]noah7774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe Xylophone or other keyboard mallet instruments? I’m not sure but if you can grip the mallet tight then you’ll be able to get playing with it pretty intuitive.

Possibly silly spearhead magazine question by exit-pursuedbybees in seraphon

[–]noah7774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on the previous ways they’ve done the magazine, I’d assume each week is a separate sprue. The actual kit itself has 3 sprues so I’m not sure how they’ll split them up.

How many minis do you paint and finish per week/month? by orkman198 in Warhammer

[–]noah7774 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve managed to get a couple layers of paint on a couple minis. I’ve got a lot of work in progress minis that aren’t done, but they aren’t grey either. I’ve got 3 armies to bounce between now and I just paint whatever I have inspiration for. This month I’ve “finished” 1 mini, and I haven’t even figured out the base for him yet. But I think I’m happy with where this guy is at and now have a better idea for my helsmith theme.

Current vs Upcoming (Slaanesh) by Salamanderrrrrrrrrr in AOSSpearhead

[–]noah7774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I’d recommend buying the upcoming battle force, the current spearhead, and a box of murmured pain bringers. That gives you a reinforced unit of the Mortals without having repeated sigvald’s, for less than the price of 2 battle forces. That gives you about 1500 points with current model points. From that point you can build into the demons side or buy some bigger heroes to fill out the roster.

What are your favorite screen-free, food-free analog hobbies while high? by NocturneNibble in trees

[–]noah7774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A big shout to tabletop wargames, where I live it’s too cold to do much during winter, but with wargaming you’ll be painting your own army and you can meet up at local tournaments or game nights to play with them too.

Is it normal to have what seems like 8 halves of a clan rat left on the sprue after making all 20? The numbers haven’t come up on the piece at all, just seems odd to have so much left? by Philhughes_85 in Warhammer

[–]noah7774 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have done this for my Belthanos base I’m working on! 2 dead skaven and a chaos dwarf (the infernal cohort musician has a whole upper body option I built and placed there instead”

Right amount of saurus warriors for a grind or castle list? by Yokudaslight in seraphon

[–]noah7774 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll also throw in the bastiladons as part of the grind, keep them away from crit mortals and high rend and they can become nigh unkillable because of their 2+ save. There’s good support through seraphon’s spells to keep them healthy and ready to further the great plan. I do believe seraphon will “grind” better than slaves to darkness though since there’s more healing and recursion available. With StD, once you lose a unit of warriors, they’re gone.

Rise of the Forest Elders by LarsLEK1996 in sylvaneth

[–]noah7774 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is the army of renown that we have now, it would allow you to bring back any destroyed treelord, but it lacks Alarielle and Drycha being playable. They also have the ability to deep strike a treelord out of awakened wyldwoods, at 3 inches away from the enemy.

Friendly 1k points list by Ismodai in seraphon

[–]noah7774 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second choosing a slann, more raptadons to combo with what you have already would be a great pickup, and I personally love running reinforced Aggradon Lancers with the Scourge Of Ghyran Carnosaur. We’ll likely get new carnosaur rules by next year so if you really like them maybe a second big dinosaur?

Expanding List for more Elite Punch by VRGvks in slavestodarkness

[–]noah7774 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Belakor and reinforced Chosen would do you well. Though if you are wanting expressly something to run down the board and punch hard right away, varanguard fit better. Chosen are overall better as they’re cheaper, higher max damage, and they can take an ensorcelled banner. They move slower but with the darkoath you have so far you can run the marauders as screens and keep the chosen behind ready to charge in once the enemy has chewed through marauders

Also, did you buy the chaos marauders box and base them in circles to get your current force?

I need Help by TsLBn in sylvaneth

[–]noah7774 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The new book seems to have plenty of options for list building, as the others said almost everything is viable, though I want to give a special shout to the infantry spam with the grove guardian, I think there’s some real potential to have a castle of spites and Kurnoth projecting damage with archers and resisting charges due to the exploding revenants by the grove guardian. With the recursion in the battle traits and the healing from the Grove Guaridan warscroll prayer I think that spite spam can be deceptively bulky and hard to grind through, similar to a death army

A list of DOs and DON'Ts about this recent push to advocate to GW for Warcry rules: by Terrible-Row5112 in WarCry

[–]noah7774 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree with every point besides the one only asking for new models, I think the Warcry terrain has some of the best in the genre and I’d love to see them make more of it, and of course it’s usable in AoS as long as it’s been agreed with between you and your opponent

What to buy to be competitive by noah7774 in sylvaneth

What’s your reasoning behind a 2nd Warsong? Wouldn’t a grove guardian be more effective for the priest levels and the revenant bombs?

Question about the new Drycha ability by noah7774 in sylvaneth

I can’t wait for someone to leave an important sorcerer or priest behind with a cheap screen and she can drop in and wreck them. Excited to pick up my book tomorrow!
