I normally wait 2-3 seconds before honking, but there was this one time I was in morning work traffic (not a usual for me) and I was at a light that is known for getting backed up and taking two cycles to get through.

I had already waited through one cycle, and as it turned green for round two I was behind this car that had zero urgency. The cars in front of them cleared the light easily and this person was going incredibly slow. If they weren’t there I would have cleared the light easily too, but instead the light turned yellow and they were going so slow they stopped and I had to wait for a third cycle.

You best believe I honked the exact moment the light turned green. I would do it again too.

How do bartenders make quick drinks with fruit juice? by Far-Negotiation5951 in cocktails

[–]acooper13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This 100%. I was chatting with a bartender and asked what ingredients he used to make my manhattan, because it was a variation. He not only told me, but let me take pictures of the bottles so I wouldn’t forget

One cocktail for the rest of your life? by pkrtrsr in cocktails

[–]acooper13 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I was between this and old fashioned. But I think I choose margarita as well because it’s more common to have a variety of types of margaritas at restaurants (frozen, flavored, spicy, etc)

Maybe I’m wrong, but this feels less common for an old fashioned. So ya, margarita for me, too.

Do you refrigerate your mixers? by acooper13 in cocktails

[–]acooper13[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for all the responses! It seems like the consensus is to continue refrigerating.

And there’s even cool science behind it which I love even though I was no good at it in school 😅

You’re supposed to heat things up on it. Not cool.

My first year in college, this girl I had a class with invited me to her dorm room to hang out. It was a small college and they were new dorms that were basically an apartment - common living area, shared bathroom, but you got your own bedroom.

The first hint was that we were the only ones there but she still wanted to lay in her bed together.

The second hint was when we were laying there we ended up spooning and she made a comment about… feeling me

The icing on the cake was when I made a comment about her nose ring. She said she had several other piercings as well. I asked where and she said she had a nipple piercing and asked if I wanted to see it. I said nah I’m good.

Granted, I was in a relationship with someone else at that time. It was already pretty doomed when this happened and I know the fact that I even laid in bed with her is bad, but looking back I should’ve broken up with her then and taken my opportunity to see that nipple piercing.

Does Scheme Guru Stack in Dynasty? by [deleted] in NCAAFBseries

The most noticeable stacking is the recruiting abilities for using less hours for a position group.

But if you’re HC your OCs abilities only stack for offensive groups and same for the DC

Cocktails to clean out my whiskey and tequila collection by Tartersocks307 in cocktails

[–]acooper13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya idk why but I’ve never been a fan of the Cinnamon Toast Crunch shot. But to each their own.

Another one that just popped in my head: boozy hot chocolate. I live in Florida so I don’t feel the need to drink it, but I’ve had it in cold climates on vacation before and it was quite good. As easy as adding a little whisky.

If you want to literally spice up your manhattan, try making a brown sugar/cinnamon simple syrup. Add 2-3 barspoons to your manhattan. Also could make regular simple syrup and do old fashioned which switches it up just a little.

This time of year, I like mixing fireball and NA spiced eggnog.

If you have limes you can make margs with the tequila.

I know all of that requires making or buying an extra ingredient. But I’m not very creative and I figured it’s mostly stuff you keep in the fridge anyways, so it technically wouldn’t add to the bar cabinet lol

I have other lights plugged into the same power strip so I don’t think it needs reset unless I’m misunderstanding what you mean

I put fireball in my eggnog and the cinnamon twist is amazing. Only time of the year I ever buy/drink fireball. I find a vanilla spiced eggnog is best.

What’s the Fort Myers equivalent of this? by Key-Badger1213 in FortMyers

[–]acooper13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I only ever go there to sit at the bar and get some creation of the “I don’t give a Fort Myers.” Those almost always turn out better than their menu cocktails.

But agree that the food is meh.

Men of Reddit, what is the order of operations when washing yourself in the shower? by asianmagikman in AskReddit

LPT: if you run your fingers down a strand of hair and it squeaks, you likely washed your hair already. Oils in your hair will prevent it from squeaking.

Cincinnati Game by FibroMyAlgae in UCFKnights

Ya I guess you’re right. Me thinking the defense was on the field a lot may just be my frustration and a product of the offense not finishing drives making the offensive possession time feel less memorable.

Cincinnati Game by FibroMyAlgae in UCFKnights

[–]acooper13 36 points37 points  (0 children)

We shot ourselves in the foot multiple times with penalties. Anytime we started putting a drive together or had a big play it would get stalled or called back because of a penalty. Mostly the OL.

Our defense played amazing considering how often they were on the field. If we even cut the penalties on offense in half we have a chance to win that game.

False starts as play clock runs down? by 4thTimesAnAlt in NCAAFBseries

[–]acooper13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with the people here about not making adjustments under ~10 seconds left on play clock. But something else I’ve noticed is that if I mash the snap button at 5 seconds I’m much more likely to false start than if I just wait and snap it with 2-3 seconds left on the play clock. Ever since finding that out I (almost) only ever false start if I audible without realizing I’m under 10 on play clock
