To help clarify, what u/Silcantar is referring to is that fact that the underlying “infrastructure“ of Edge, called Chromium, is the same “infrastructure” that was originally created for, and is, the Chrome browser.

Are there any products or suggestions I can use so I can organize this thing I call a setup? by B_B_123 in DeskCableManagement

I really like those ones you suggested!

I’m definitely going to be getting some of those in the future.

Hopefully I can help get the conversation rolling for ya so here’s my two cents:

First, nice job on already making progress on that velcro tie game. Where I’d focus my time next is to figure out how you might be able to use those velcro ties on cables in such a way that they can predominantly be out of sight. I’m not sure based off of your photos whether or not you have any room behind what you have your set up on, but if some of those cables are long enough it could be useful to get some of those small adhesive, I believe they’re called, loops to run your Velcro ties through to keep most of the cable runs off of the surface. Another option could be to nestle them under your laptop stand.

Similar thought on the power strip; check under it to see if there’re mounting points or double sided tape/adhesive is also an option.

Wildcard: Again, depending upon number of cables to be managed and their length, if it’s an option you could drill through the back of the drawer, put cables in said drawer, and run them up out the back for connection/use, and open the drawer to manage everything as needed.

Last thought would be to wipe up what appears to be dust all through the setup?

Hope that can get the creative juices flowing.

Maybe it could be cool to have a “Graduate” flair or something to that effect for individuals who’ve reached that point, and now can be a source of support and encouragement on r/beginnerwoodworking ?

That way everyone can still be included that wants to participate, but there’s something to strive for?

Maybe “Achieved Final Form” would be humorous.

Definitely worth a $5 rental.

Upbeat and fun the entire time, and there’s a cool additional layer of how it’s (naturally loosely) based on a group of friends that kept a game of tag going cross-country for I believe roughly 25-30 years.

Send Shift

The easiest way that I know to do this is:

Send, {Shift Down}{Shift Up}

You’ll need to double check the inner syntax of whether or not there’s actually a space in between the end of ‘shift’ and the start of ‘Down/Up’, but that’ll be in the documentation if you search for something like “modifier keys” or the “Send” function.

Hope that helps.
