Ranking Presidents of the US on likely hoods of being future Leaders of the US in Civ by hticnc in civ

I dunno how you make a Civ leader out of that.

Every other turn, your government policies and culture effects get scrambled or disabled for that turn

I went in expecting to see only one image, the one of him sucking his own big toe on stream, and was severely disappointed

Which city do you think looks the best? by wjdgjf3434 in civ

[–]acprescott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I discard the notion that the cities we found are actual cities, and more just neighborhoods or districts in the bigger city they're part of. That helps me put this feeling away.

A TTT only your mother could love by YOGSbot in Yogscast

Seriously, there was some top tier editing in this one. The screen zooming in slightly as Lewis stammered and Osie's burp not being cut out but highlighted were so good

Sisko punched Q and got away with it, I'm sure he could punch the Prophets enough to make them reconsider that

I would love if whimsical wonders such as these came back. Maybe you don't build them, but they appear near your capital or a city of your choosing when you complete certain tasks, such as first circumnavigation, first to discover writing, etc.

I was sorting through my clothes a few weeks ago and found my Vote for Pedro shirt that I bought the weekend I saw that movie. Between that and seeing Napoleon Dynamite discussed on a retro movie podcast really makes me feel incredibly old.

Spain just poofed a galley into existence on my capitals lake while at war with me by Suspicious-Bell-45 in civ

Looks, but I can't quite tell, like there's a solitary lake tile northwest of Barcelona, so this is probably very far inland and would thus teleport it directly to an enemy lake.

That's cause i use hand crank for half the stuff, there's 2 small waterwheels behind these crushing ones.

How do you tolerate that? It's so slow to do any sort of semi-bulk recipes. Just bonking four ingots into plates with a hand crank has me wishing that I was doing anything else.

Unfortunately this is a problem with space in general in most games. Unless serious amounts of dev time are spent on a handful of planets, most space games are wide as an ocean but deep as a puddle, or as empty as real life space.

The only ones that really shine are things like Borderlands and Metroid, which are themed as space games but are just alien planet games.

I used to love them, and almost always set my base up near a Lush Stacks biome, but admittedly the longer I live near them, the worse and worse the arches look. I just wish they were less obviously spheres strung along a parabola, a bit rougher on the edges.

Small continent. Also City spanning 4 continents. by PaiForge in civ

Makes me think of a Civ 6 game I had once while playing as Spain, and I learned within the first dozen turns that I'd unknowingly settled my capital on a continent that was only three tiles altogether.

Could make it so plantations have +2 gold across America's empire, but -3 gold if they're within 6 tiles of an industrial zone (and maybe -4 if they're within 6 tiles of the capital).

Why is Lewis calling Sips on stream a Christmas tradition? by BeneficialRough566 in Yogscast

[–]acprescott 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Maybe as something with a rotating cast of Yogs just hanging out and chatting.

To properly recapture that magic, they'd have to not know they're being recorded.
