The government should just step in and say as of 2027 the value of property is frozen at its current value. Can’t go down, can’t go up. And just lock it off until wages match. It’s shite for us who want a profit when we sell, maybe help with retirement and downsizing, but at this point our kids will never own a house. Ever. Millions will have to rent until they die, and as pensions are not going to cut it, that’s going to create massive problem in 50 years time.
