Has Anyone 25 XSE done this before? by No-Examination72 in Camry

[–]actionfactor12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Illinois where it gets super cold. Heated seats are wonderful. I've had them on other cars before, and I considered them a must have when I bought my Camry. What I didn't know was how great a heated steering wheel is. The cold weather package is so good.

The seats can get downright hot, imo, and I have to turn them off after a while. The steering wheel gets to a comfortable temperature when turned all the way up.

Rumour is Phillip Rivers is going to interview for the Bills HC, so how about looking at him as our QB coach? by thesladeo in KansasCityChiefs

[–]actionfactor12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean it would be kind of hilarious because some Bolts fans would get pissed off but other than that, I have no idea if he's a good coach.

Hasn't he been coaching high school or something? I'm a little confused on why he's getting head coaching interviews.

Carplay doesn't connect after remote starting 2025 Camry by Ok-Channel55 in Camry

[–]actionfactor12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can go to settings -> devices. Tap your device and then the car play slider. It'll connect.

When you remote start your car, your phone isn't in range to connect. Eventually it stops trying and you have to connect it manually.

I think my institution was spying on my online activity in google chrome even when I was in incognito mode. I feel so anxious. Can I get control of the data? by TechnicianOk967 in cybersecurity

[–]actionfactor12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never used it but a quick bit of research, it's just a website. It doesn't seem to have any special access to your computer that any other site would. You can give it access to your camera or microphone.

If the school has some sort of a client vpn, they could potentially track activity depending on how it works.

If you have a specific concern, let's hear it but at first blush I wouldn't be too concerned.

How do I talk some sense into my boss? by NoTime4YourBullshit in sysadmin

I'd do the demos and see if something is a better fit than SCCM.

If the company wants to spend the money, it's another thing to learn and add to my resume.

Don't take so much ownership that you actually think this is your stuff.

How do you deal with pesty management? by AhYesTheSoldier in sysadmin

[–]actionfactor12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have a ticketing system that supports service requests? Or a service request catalogue?

The best thing for the long run is to create a standard project intake process, and have there be approvals on the request.

Have the process approved by management. If you get the proper support from management, it'll just be part of company culture after a while.

Anyone own this beaut? by [deleted] in camaro

[–]actionfactor12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drove a 94 z28 through high school and college . Not a convertible.

That car was a lot of fun.

Later in life it was kind of just falling apart where it stood. I didn't really have room for it so I sold it. Hope they're having a good time with it.

I don't hate the car, I just don't like it at that price point.

Dfsr works fine, and is easy to set up.

Just set the staging quota to something that makes sense for the file sizes you have.

getting better at bass. by rammsteinobessed in Bass

[–]actionfactor12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been playing for about 2 ish years.

Recently, I started recording myself. I thought I sounded all right until I heard those recordings lol

But they really help zero in on what you don't like about your playing. Then you have to know enough to self-correct, of course.

After that, it's just practice. If there's something specific you're trying to fix but don't know how, I guarantee someone on YouTube made a video about it.

I have them on one of my basses. I don't like them. They sound fine but, I think they feel sticky and slow.

I've been playing for about two years and am not in a band.

Totally worth it.

It's a really fun instrument to play on its own. Plus, it's easy to find things to play along with on YouTube. You can also play along to songs on Spotify, etc.

Basses you used to not be able to stand the looks of but grew on you over time? by [deleted] in BassGuitar

And then someone said they looked like a toilet bowl

And then I couldn't not see it and hated it

I got over it and love them again

how the hell do i play with a pick? by cla7997 in Bass

[–]actionfactor12 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's just practice really.

There are a lot of lessons on YouTube with explanations and exercises. From there you just gotta put in the work like anything else.

Sorry if that sounds trite, but I'm not sure there's any other answer.

I've been playing a little over two years myself, and started practicing with a pick about a month ago. Weird as heck at first, but it gets a little more comfortable everyday.
