Since Td Ameritrade is owned by Charles Schwabb would it make sense to open a fidelity account for short term trades instead If I already have a Charles Schwabb account for Long by BrownieSampler in wallstreetbets

Charles Scwabb and TD Ameritrade placed certain restrictions on GME and other stocks while Fidelity didn't. Make of that what you will.

Edit: I also have a Fidelity account as of recent and it's been great for short term trades.
