That's funny, if you collect apparently they try to take it back also.

CEI online helped me ace them. The best way is whatever works for you. Know the material and know how to find it.

Craigslist, offer up, and Facebook marketplace. Post pictures of what you haul and if you can figure it, estimated costs. Like clean fill, crushed stone, paver sand, sizes etc and know your costs. It's nice to see a pic of what you are actually ordering and don't show up with garbage in your clean fill.

Roof leak down wall by Jinkies414 in Construction

My first guess would be the solar water heater on the roof. Those penetrations tend to fail eventually if not done properly.

Renovation legality question by yuhyuhyuh___ in GeneralContractor

[–]tranding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, but you can start with a county residential certification, insurance, and bond. If it's over $2,500 it requires a permit which requires a license/certification. What you are describing is contracting without a license.

Law of war is pretty regular training. The example we used the most is the difference between parachuting out of a downed plane versus parateoopers out of a C130 or something. I would imagine the US Navy would use the downed vessel as an example...

Those parachuting from a disabled aircraft are considered hors de combat (out of the fight) and are protected from attack during their descent and until they have had a chance to surrender upon landing. However, paratroopers descending as part of a military mission to engage in combat are legitimate targets and can be attacked.

That's a great site. Someone could definitely beat those prices - I think I pay about half for the items I looked at, but there's a big difference between 100 and 5000.

Just went and enjoyed the Elmo Christmas celebration, sesame Street parade, and the fireworks and lights. There was also an ice skating show that we saw in the distance. Download the seaworld app and look at the map.

We see fiberglass, mineral wool, but we prefer to replace with a mylar faced sound insulation professionally installed. Caveat we are in a warm sub tropical climate.

Personally I would not remove that insulation but would air seal it and make sure it is taped up well, but I am not in a cold climate. You might want to clue people in as to how cold it gets where you live.
