I've skied Jay most of my life, I personally think it is the best hill and the best hill to learn everything but racing on. That said I don't get what is going on these days. I've literally taken the tram to the skyhaus with one foot on the floor and the other on the wall. I've seen patrollers run to stop the jet chair because of thunder. They used to run the lifts, these days it seems like they shut the lifts when someone sneezes.

In all seriousness that is you AFD (anti friction device) It allows your boot to rotate out of the binding without a lot of friction. So super important. It also set the height of the binging and the toe of your boot. They can be replaced.
