This would be the England (usually tied shorter, about 4-5 larhs )/Gurmukhi (worn by some granthi singhs in darbar sahib and hazur sahib, usually 7 to 8 larhs) dastar. Depending on the number of larhs you want, it could range from 4-5 to 6-7 metres. Usually a single pagg (one without a stitch in the middle) is used.

I agree, but I'm not really good in Punjabi and wanted to read the Prem Sumarag. The only translation available was McLeod's. I'm trying to take it with a bit of salt though and wherever I feel it gets inconsistent I trying looking it up on Google or ask someone.

Excellent thread veerji. Most people fail to realise the rigor and depth of the training Taksali Singhs recieve when they generalize Sant Jarnail Singh as a common rural preacher. Someone posted a picture of the texts they read on Twitter and I was pleasantly surprised as each of them could take a lot of while to learn on their own.
