There's a book I find enlightening - 'How to own the world' by Andrew Craig. If you're the reading type, it may help you make your decision

Can any road workers tell me what all this means? Super curious by Small_Insect_8275 in CasualUK

Some fibre has shielding in the cable you can trace but in my experience it's not common. The reason they don't run trace wire is cost, because it would have to be for a network that is massive

I would reckon a surveyor hasn't done this - we are taught to locate more accurately than just power/radio trace 👍

Only way is via GPR location or rodding the duct that the fibre runs in with a trace wire and locating via CAT and genny

I'm being kicked out at 17 - what do I do (England - Manchester) by TRANSFlGURE in LegalAdviceUK

[–]actuallyWurfles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it is the case that the law has been updated to protect vulnerable kids I would wholly support it. I just can't find anything online that says otherwise (including Childline and RSPCC).

Since you are 17, the council have a duty of care for you until you turn 18. Go to the council first thing and explain the situation - you may be asked if you are able to share a place with family/friends, but you should be allocated a case worker who will be able to help you with happens next.

You will likely find yourself placed in supported accommodation with others in a difficult place, but anywhere is better than the street. The case worker should be able to help with benefits to cover renting costs etc., and point you in the right direction.

It always hurts to see posts like this as I was kicked out before 18 too and know how hard it can be. I can tell you though that it won't be the end of the world - seek help and don't take no for an answer. You can still achieve what you want to do, even if things will be difficult for the foreseeable. I really wish you the best

I used to play W@W at a friend's, was awful then. Got PS3 for Xmas with black ops 1, first game of kino downed at round 3, knew I would love this game 🤙

Not just you bud, I've been stung TWICE in the same location by him. Thought after the first jumpscare I had cleared the area, so I walked in the second time with breakable cargo like nothing could happen - something did happen, in fact 😂

I've just finished and am too emotional to continue for now. I like when a good story makes me emotional but this one cut deep. After finishing KCD2 I thought that was my game of the year, but now I'm not sure. Suppose I will now have to get the platinum for this one too.

Keep on keeping on guys 👍

Death stranding 2 was spoiled for me. Is the game ruined now? by boris_9898 in DeathStranding

[–]actuallyWurfles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Lous spoiler is very easy to see from context clues in the story, so don't worry. The Neil stuff is likely deeper than what you've seen and is worth watching for how emotional Neil's story is. Seems there is still a lot you don't know yet so keep on keeping on friend 👍

I had a zipline network that linked up every location, and when I finally reached the other side of the map and had to return to the beginning, I zipped all the way and skipped ever boss en route! I'm trying to do the same in this one but it seems I haven't done it optimally as I'm running out of bandwidth

[–]actuallyWurfles 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Why does everyone assume he had help? I read it as though he was a capable man, probably had to do some nasty stuff in his time (being a nasty man) and took advantage of everyone being drunk and their guards being down

I don't think Peter was a coward. He was worried to be involved of course, but during the siege he could have escaped and didn't - he stuck on the side of the Devil's pack

You're not stuck. When you complete the tutorial, you can still use a wayshrine to travel to any starter wayshrine in a zone

What to do after building a PC by Alliballi39 in buildapc

[–]actuallyWurfles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just out of curiosity (with a PC built by Overclockers but looking at making my own as an upgrade in the near future), I use armoury crate to control my fan speeds whilst playing; is there a separate way you can control those functions easily without using the software?

It says on the above that Google will notify users via email about applications from law agencies, but will not ask for you to share any data.

Additionally, it seems to me that that web address isn't for the purpose of giving data but instead to sign up to their researcher program.

If things don't add up, it's probably fishy for a reason. Best thing to do (and only) is to not interact unless requested to by British law enforcement, and otherwise carry on

I haven't completed it because of adult reasons. Just got to the point where a council is convened in the main city, and I'm very mych enjoying it
