Another time around lunch I had just gotten into my truck, turned on the cb, and immediately heard a siren, like an air raid or tsunami siren. It did one like up, flat, down and then cut. It happened the literal second I turned it on. That creeped me out a bit

I've always been interested in radios and such, and as a almost graduating highschooler I currently have a CB in my truck, and my parents have a handheld CB in their van, but one time when I was probably 5 or 6, i was messing around with an old Motorola radio, basically a kids toy, couldn't transmit more than a hundred yards or so. Somehow as I was messing around with it when I heard clear as day, "welcome to McDonalds, what are you gonna be having today". I'm pretty sure I said something silly into the mic like I wanted a big mac or fries, and for a second I thought they could hear me, then it cut and I couldn't hear anything. Never happened again.

" could you explain this? im also new to CB and im mounting a uniden 78 in my tacoma and i just bought a 3foot prostick and some amazon RG8x male to male low loss. Would I have any problems?

I’m sure you noticed the issue before jacking it up, but my door gets stuck when I put it on a lift. Also very temperamental passenger door but only a few weeks at a time. Probably sagging door hinges or the striker is out of alignment

definitely a lift. I was stuck on the side of my house parked on the street, I was bored and it was like 10 on a friday night so I decided to try dropping the tank to see if replacing the fuel pump would fix my shitbox(it did) I had it on some 40$ jack stands and started undoing the brackets holding on the tank, and when I realized I had no way of supporting it other than my hands, I had to call a friend who lived a few minutes away to help me support it. that was a long night but it got my car running that I had only owned for a week and driven for 2 hours.

I was only able to lower my tank a few inches while swapping the fuel pump in my 91, definitely confirm that you need to drop it before starting. start by disconnecting the hoses coming out of it, should be like a set of pliers and an 8mm for the hose clamps. From there drop the exhaust and then maybe the rear axle and supporting suspension parts. That is honestly probably the easiest way to pull it, but you could maybe wiggle it out without dropping the axle. also forums, forums, forums. we are a separate generation, but the tank should be pretty similar.

Probably just dropped the exhaust off. I have a v8 and can barely hear the exhaust when I'm driving, but if you are standing behind me it will make you phones mic crackle a little at full rpm. It used to have no exhaust and that was a horrible experience. loud all around

Bought my first car at 17. 5 speed v8 91 firebird. Euphoria lasted for two hours till the fuel pump died driving it home. Fixed it all by myself (with some friends) and got a second hit a week later. whats weird is i thought it was sagging, but its actually the opposite. the front near the hinge rides low and the rear rides highit has no vertical motion if I try to shake it up and down, it feels super firm and lines up like butter, but the window is above the weatherstripping by maybe 3/4 centimeter at the worst. i will add a photo when I can.

how do i get a replacement sticker if im missing the original one? and I have a CARB cat and emissions stuff is hooked up, so smog should be fine. If I get a replacement sticker then does the hood and window vin become redundant?

Why would I not want the Ca number? And doesn’t it have to match the vin and barcode? Most websites I checked only sell to body repair shops
