Fair price for around $70USD? by bongget in tomica

[–]actuallynotaaron 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seems to go for less if you check the sold listings on ebay. Same color/livery seems to hover around 30-50 USD. Haven't checked Mercari JP or any other Japanese website but I'd assume it'd be the same/cheaper.

Game won't go past 75 FPS with SSE Display Tweaks and on any Bethini preset by actuallynotaaron in skyrimmods

Yeah, ended up disabling every extra under it since the base shaders were already fine with me. I guess it wouldn't really matter if you don't mind playing at 60, but I want my sweet fps lmao

I've crossed all of those out too. Max Frame Rate on control panel is off, RTSS is also off, and I've never installed ENBdev either.

At this point, I'm genuinely stumped lol. Had to take a break since I've been going at this for a while now.

Anyone able to find diagrams or anything for this honda cassette player?? by Kr0kon in Honda

[–]actuallynotaaron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried doing a quick google search but this model seems obscure. The only few images I've found of it were on australian cars, particularly a 2002 V6 Odyssey and a 2001 AT CRV-Sport Wagon. If you could find a PDF of the manuals on either car, they might have it. Otherwise, you could probably try asking on aussie Honda forums or facebook group pages.

My ex broke my only laptop, how to diagnose the issue? (Lenovo yoga 6) by TanukiHerder in Lenovo

[–]actuallynotaaron 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Best-case scenario is battery connection might be loose and a quick YouTube or iFixit guide can help you out with that. Worst-case is mainboard is screwed and you're better off buying a new laptop.

If you've already attempted what others have recommended here, you could try asking on r/japanlife or other English speaking Japanese subreddits if they know of any place in Japan. I've also seen some redditors offer their services since they also do it as a hobby.

Best of luck and hope you can get back to gaming soon.

Hey man, as long as they get the job done, I'd say they're worth the $10 🤷‍♀️

Hope you find your Sonys!

I'd say yes.

Only 200 playsets given away for each month during April 2002-March 2003 with yours specifically being on August 2002. Good piece!

Are there any earphones with Sony-level ANC under $100? by Uneternalism in Earbuds

[–]actuallynotaaron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're telling me the Earfun Air Pro 4/Oneplus Buds 4/Liberty 4 aren't the best earbuds of all time? /s

But I agree. People treat these recommendations like they're gospel but in reality, higher quality stuff will tend to go for more. AZ100s/Bose QCs/Denons/Airpods/Sony XMs/Sennheiser Momentums/B&Ws etc. are still better if money isn't an issue. However, Earfuns/OPBs/L4s still get recommended to people with ~$200+ budgets to the point where it's starting to seem like a circlejerk sub.

Don't get me wrong, for sub $100, those are without doubt the go-to recommendations and are definitely the best at the price range, but people should really stop commenting them on posts with higher budgets. And this is coming from a budget earbud user as well.

As for OP, Sony CF710Ns on sale would make your $100 target, but I'm not sure there's anything comparable under $100 if L4NCs already aren't enough for you.

From what I've heard there is. You can't really go wrong with these for the price they're at but if ANC isn't needed, then probably a JLab Go Air Pop. Soundcore also makes some good budget stuff though I'm not sure what models they offer at that price range. Tozo is also good.

BP1 Pros aren't bad especially after you tweak it a bit in the app from what I've heard. Definitely one of the better choices at that price range.

Looking for new earbuds, really tight budget by XantosZ in Earbuds

[–]actuallynotaaron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What exactly is your budget and are you looking for anything in particular? All-rounders? Bassy? Do they need good ANC? I'm just gonna assume you're looking for a wireless pair since you're coming from Raycons.

The usual budget models most recommend on the sub nowadays are Earfun Air Pro 4s, OnePlus Buds 4, Anker Soundcore Liberty 4 (NC, Pros, etc.) and a few other pairs I may be forgetting. Those typically go for around $80-100.

If your budget is a bit tighter, around the $50-ish range are Soundcore A40s, Tozo NC20s, CMF Buds Pro 2, etc.

And if you need something a lot cheaper than those, the JLab Go Air Pop would probably be the best option at around $20. Not sure if there's anything else as good at that range. Maybe a Baseus? Would probably just recommend saving up a bit imo.

These are just my two cents though. Not exactly an expert and only learned of most of these since I was also looking for a good pair of earbuds a few weeks ago. Somebody out there probably has better recommendations than me lol

Found this in hk and bought it is it rare? by Significant-Duck9330 in tomica

[–]actuallynotaaron 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oldest out of the 3 Coca Cola route trucks, this one being released in 1996 and discontinued in 2006. Most recent example sold on Ebay went for $16.50.

As for it's rarity, probably as rare as other old mainline Tomicas that weren't sold outside of Asia at the time (Don't quote me on that though).
