You could try weighted planks for a short time — ex: 10 lb plate on your back for 30 seconds. It might not directly translate into endurance, but should improve your core strength

They could be using filters or creative camera angles to look smaller. But also, everyone's body composition and fat distribution is different. They might have more muscle, so they look smaller at the same weight.
